I went to the roof and just flew off wherever. I don't care if they send planes after me, or threw me back in that cage. I spot beach and lower down to it. The moonlight hitting the waves was a pleasant sight to look at.
"Turn off your porcelain face, I can't really think right now and this place
Has too many colours enough to drive all of us insane
Are you dead? sometimes I think I'm dead
Cause I can feel ghosts and ghouls wrapping my head
But I don't wanna fall asleep just yet..."
I mutter as I walk on the sand. In a small distance I notice a group of friends with a fire. Not wanting to interrupt or gain any attention I sit down on the sand and rest my elbows on my thighs as my face rested on my palms.
I spot a stick and slowly grab it making shapes into the sand. I make a heart but then the ocean water goes over it. I will the water away from me so I'd remain dry.
"Hey," Someone says as they sit next to me. I give the person a quick look and see it was a girl. I give her a small smile in acknowledgment.
"My friends and I noticed you were sitting here alone and wanted to know if you'd like to join us," she says. I look to the group and see them looking her.
"They're nice don't worry, you look so freaked," She says with a laugh.
"This is my first time out after a few months," I tell her honestly. She gives me a sympathetic smile and brings her hand out.
"Let us be your new friends then," she offers with a smile. She was a really pretty girl. Her snake bite piercings and blue metallic hair really suited her.
"I can join you guys for a bit but I'll have to go back, they'll find me soon," I tell her as I take her hand. We walk to her group of friends as they cheer. I sit down on a log beside her and look around. There were a total of three guys and four girls.
"Introduction time! I'm Ashley, that's Ian and his girlfriend Alex, Sean and his girlfriend Sofie, and those two are Simon and Melody. They aren't dating but we all know their going to end up together, argue like a married couple," she says teasingly.
"So you want to introduce yourself ?" Simon asks.
"Uh I'm (y/n) (l/n)," I tell them hesitantly.
"I feel like I've seen you before," Ian mumbles.
"So (y/n) who's coming to get you?" Ashley asks.
"Shield," I tell her honestly.
"Wait why?" Melody asks, confused as much as the others.
"WAIT! YOU'RE THE GIRL THAT ATTACKED LA!" Sean yells. Boom now their going to run away.
"Oh yeahhhh! But you were being controlled then right?" Sofie asks. I nod and smile, just to let them know I was chill.
"Can we see your powers (y/n)? Can we? Can we?!" Simon asks, his eyes sparkling.
"Calm down Barbie," Melody snorts.
"Melody, Chelsea says can we can we, get your fucking Barbie facts right you dumbass," Simon tells her. Melody doesn't even hesitate as she smacks the back of his head. He falls face front into the sand and comes up spitting out sand.
"You fucking bitch!" He yells at her. She sticks her tongue out and he mirrors is back.
"So can we see them? Or does fucking 'Shield' not allow it?" Ian asks, air quoting 'Shield'.
I look at the fire in front of me and make it take the shape of a woman and man. The woman in a nice dress as she danced freely with the man. I make another girl silhouette form as she looks at them. Although there was no face it was clear what emotions played through.
The people in the flame blended into a heart and the fire went out.
"Woah......"Simon says in amazement.
"Must really hurt," Ashley mumbles, "right?"
"Of course it does....but that how I know it was love," I tell her.
"You think it'll ever stop?" She questions.
"If it's really love then it won't...but we'll just have to bear it, don't we?" I ask her. She nods and a silence sets in.
"So you control fire?" Sean asks, breaking the silence.
"THEY WERE HAVING A HEARTFELT TALK!" Sofie whisper yells. I shake my head and bring a circle of water from the ocean. I circle it around the fire so everyone saw. I let the water drop of Simon's head, which made everyone laugh, and make the breeze go fast to dry off Simon. Afterwards, I will the sand to take the shape of the others.
"Damn am I really that handsome!?" Simon asks as he touches his sand statue. Melody comes and kicks Sand Simon's head off. Simon stares at where his sand person used to be in utter shock.
"Are the Avengers after you?" Sofie asks.
"No....they supposedly care for me. But ever since that new girl came I've just been forgotten. Like I was eating with em and they all planned to go the club without me ," I shrug. Why was I telling them all this? I don't know.....they'll probably be the last people I see before I'm shut inside again so why not...
"Fucking rich retards," Ian scoffs, making Alex elbow him
"You know you can stay with us? We're all runaways," she offers.
"No thanks, I don't want the government after you guys as well," I tell her.
"Do you still love him?" Ashley asks, looking at the fire instead of me.
"I'm trying not to but I really can't help it. It really pains me so much to see him with her," I whisper to her. She looks from the fire at me, tears brimming her eyes. The look in her eyes told me she knew what I was going through, because she went through it as well.
"(Y/n) I think your ride might be here," Sean says as a familiar rust bucket lands on the sand.
"(Y/n) you run and we'll hold him back," Simon whispers. What....
"Yeah go," Ashley says.
"Come on young lady," Tony says as he steps out his suit. Melody walks to him as she holds sand behind her hands. Simon follows as well.
"Omg the Tony Stark?!" She squeals.
"Yes and you have something of mine," Tony tells her. We all get up as Ashley holds my arm.
"When she throws you run," She whispers to me.
"Uh sorry," Melody tells him.
"For what?" He asks her. She smirks and throws the handfuls of sand into his suit and continues to pick up more and throw more into it. Simon follows and does the same.
"Run!" Alex tells me and I bolt the other way.
"FUCK!" I hear Tony say. I wonder if the others were here....who cares anyway. I keep running and running. Flying over masses of rocks, dodging under some trees. I had to get to the city. It should be harder to find me there.
