first day of preschool and first ever best friends

Harry had settled in nicely to his new life.  He loved the funny girl with pale skin, long blond hair with, pink and blue coloured tips, she laughed a lot.  Harry loved his time he spent with the man too, his pale skin glowed at times, and he had green hair.  Harry loved that the most, he had coloured a streak of his hair that hung over his scar green to match.  Harry liked the fact that he had a scar like his on his forehead.  Lucy was his best friend, she loved to play tricks on the two pale ones all the time.  Harry missed Lucy when she had started pre-school.  He wanted to go to to have some fun, but he had to stay at home.  But it was nearly time for him to go to school.  The Pale girl who he called Mummy, even thought he knew now she was not.  Had taken him shopping to get his school bag, paints, and all the things he needed for pre-school.  The best thing of all was his Batman lunch box.  "Why Batman?" Harley asked in confusion.  "So I never forget the enemy." Harry had said.  "Why would ya forget him?" Harley asked.  "Because I will be having so much fun at school." Harry had replied.  To which the girl had laughed and laughed. 

"Come on Lucy we will be late." Harry yelled at her from he bottom of the stairs.  "Coming!" Lucy called running down the stairs with her backpack on.  "Say good bye to Daddy." Harley giggled as Joker watched form the door of his office.  "Bye Daddy!  See ya when we get home." Harry run over to Joker wrapped himself around his leg, and give him a high five.  "You be good.  Lucy watch out for Harry." Joker said smileing at her.  "Don't I always." Lucy said blowing him a kiss before leaving with a giggling Harley.  

"Now ya know where everything is?" Harley asked.  "Yes Mummy." Harry said placing his bag on the hook with his name on it.  "OK, is there anything ya need me to do for ya?" Harley asked.  "No.  Bye Mummy." Harry said running off to find his seat at the big round table.  Harley watched him with love, he had grown so much, he was so precious to her and Joker.  Harley wiped away a tear, she turned to walk out of the room.  She did not notice all the other parents stop and stair at her.  Harley didn't hear the whispers that run around the room, but Harry did.  He smiled, if they thought they could pick on his Mummy they had better think again.  He noted which parents talked and stared, and which didn't.  Harry smiled, he would get to them later, today was his day.  

Harry's buddy at school was Jasper, they were going to be best friends Harry just knew it.  It turned out he was more popular than he had thought.  Most of the kids, wanted to know why his Mummy was so pale, and was The Joker as mad as they all said.  Harry laughed and said yes he was so was his Mummy.  Why were they so pale, well he told them what Joker said.  "Because the Bastard Batman chased them into Ace Chemicals and they fell into a vat of Chemicals.  It bleached their skins." Harry said they kids thought that was funny.  But the teacher did not, he got in to trouble for that.  He had one of his stars taken away, but not for long, Harry zapped it right back up there later in the day.

At lunch Harry played with his friends.  Jasper was his number one man, then there was three more.  They wanted to be Harry's goons, because he was just like the Joker.  So Jack, Oliver and Ben were Harry's goons, or Jokers as they played.  Harry found a stick and that was his gun.  Jasper had a smaller one, they all gathered together to make a plan to rob the bank.  {The Jungle Gym in the corner of the playground.}  Jasper was to take a stand at the door, to keep a look out for The Batman.  Jack Oliver and Ben were to rush in and secure the place.  Harry waltzed in after them taking a bow, just like Joker.  All five boys lost a star for that.  But by the end of the day, they had them back thanks to Harry.  

That afternoon one of the girls come over to talk to him.  "Hello I'm Lilly, my Mummy don't like The Batman ether.  So can I join your lot?" She asked.  "Yea if ya want, we will be playing again tomorrow." Harry said with a smile for her.  "Cool." Lilly said with a smile she flicked her red hair at him and walked away.  "Who was that Harry?" Lucy asked when she met him at his class in the afternoon.  "Lilly.  She don't like the Batman ether!" Harry said laughing.  "Mum and Dad will be impressed, a girl and she don't like Batty!" Lucy said laughing.  "So did you have an awesome day Harry?" Harley sang in her high pitched voice giggling.   "Harry met a girl, she don't like Batty man ether." Lucy said teasing him.  "Did you is she one of ya friends?" Harley asked.  "Yeah Mummy and I sit with Jasper, he is my number one man.  Ya know like Dad with Frost." Harry said with a smile.  "Yes.  Did ya behave?" Harley asked.  "Yes Mummy." He replied smileing at her.  

Harley, Harry and Lucy did not see the dark shadowy figure standing watching them.  Watching them getting ready to pounce. But Lilly did.  "Look Mummy he is out in the day." She said to her mother.   "I see him, I bet he is after Harry."Ivy said.  "I made friends with him today, just like ya said.  He is a nice boy." Lilly said.  "You are a nice girl." Ivy said with a smile, her red lips shinning.  "When are ya going to tell them Mummy?" Lilly asked.  "When the time is right darling, when the time is right.  Want Ice cream on the way home?" Ivy asked.  "Do I ever." Lilly said as she and Ivy disappeared around the corner.  Harley looked up a few seconds before that, she cought sight of a red haired girl, she looked just like her Ivy.  But her Ivy didn't have a little girl.  Harley shook her head it must have been the sunlight, it didn't come out a lot here in Gotham.

Across the oceans, another young boy was getting ready for his first day at school too.  "Come Diddy it is time for school." Petunia said as she stood at the bottom of the stairs.  "OK Mummy I am coming." Dudley said dragging his bag down the stairs.  "Are you excited?" Vernon asked.  "Yeah I guess." Dudley said.  "All your friends will be there." Petunia said with a smile.  "I know." Dudley said.  "So what is the problem then?" Vernon asked.  "I am a grown boy I want to walk to school on me own.  I don't want to walk with Mummy." Dudley whined.  "But it is the first day Dudley, I have to walk with you." Petunia said.  "Well can ya walk behind me." Dudley asked.  "What if I walk you?" Vernon asked smileing at him.  "No, I walk alone, if you have to come, you have to walk behind me." Dudley said as he went for the door.  

And they did just that, they trailed behind Dudley all the way to the school.  They watched him go inside and hand his bag.  Dudley didn't even wave to his parents before he disappeared into the class room and sat with his friends.  "Well Vernon he has grown.  I am so happy that we got rid of Harry now." Petunia said to him.  "Yes, but that silly Batman is still trying to get us to come back to Gotham to take him back." Vernon said laughing.  "Not a chance." Petunia said she still thought about him every day.  She could feel Lilly looking over her shoulder scowling at her for giving Harry away.  "What Batman need's to know is that we did not give Harry to them, they stole him.  But we don't want him back." Vernon said laughing.  "Maybe I should go and visit him to let him know?" Petunia said her sister was getting to her.   "Don't you feel sorry for the boy Petunia.  He got the parents he deserves.  Harry is a wizard I bet, but not as strong as our Diddy." Vernon said smileing at her.  "But?" Petunia said.  "No I will have no more of it.  Lilly and James are dead.  They played the game with the Wizards and they got burned!  Now why should we suffer for that?" Vernon said.  "Yes Vernon." Petunia said with a sigh as she followed him home. 

"I am so glad ya had a good day at school Harry.  Did ya make any friends?" Joker asked.  "Yeah Dad I did.  We had so much fun we held up the play gym." Harry said.  "Always good to hear ya held up the bank.  How much did ya get?' Joker asked leaning on the kitchen bench eating cookies and milk with the children.  "All of it.  My number one man, like Frost over there is Jasper.  We sit together, we are classroom buddies." Harry very proudly said.  "What is a classroom buddy?" Frost asked.  "I told ya last year he/she is ya friend until ya find ya way.  Then if ya like each other ya become good friends." Lucy said she knew she had been there last year.  "Well I am glad ya cleared that up for me." Frost said with a laugh.  "Harry has a girlfriend too.  She hates Batty too!"Lucy said laughing and dunking her cookie in the milk.  "A girl huh, What is her name?" Joker asked his eyes shinning.  "Lilly." Harry said with a smile.  "She sound nice Harry.  What did ya learn today?" Harley asked.  "How to draw and paint." Harry said with a smile.  "Progress I'm sure Harley." Joker said.  Silence filled the room, no one spoke.  Harley giggled.  "So what did our girl get up to today?" Joker asked.  "I am making some, .......... oh nothing." Lucy said with a smile.  "But ya had fun making nothing didn't ya?" Harley asked.  "Yes Mummy." Lucy said a grin coming across her face.  "Well I am glad to see that the money Harley and I pay for your schooling is going to do good things.  Harry had a gang and a girlfriend, and Lucy is making nothing." Joker said laughing.  "I saw him today at school." Harry said out of the blue.  "You saw who?" Joker asked.  Harry pointed to his lunch box.  "Batty Man in the daylight!  Mr J!" Harley screeched.  "Settle Harley, he will not do anything, he has to find the other lot first." Joker said with a trace of anger.  

Later as Harley and Joker lay tangled in the sheets of their bed.  "Do ya think he would just come and take him Puddin?" Harley asked.  "I would like to think not, but I know he has tracked them down." Joker said.  "How do ya know?" Harley asked.  "I have had them followed since the time they left town.  They don't want Harry Harley, he is ours." Joker said laughing.  ""Oh Mr J!" Harley said snuggling into him and kissing him with passion..............................................
