EPILOGUE
Four months later;
I'm lying on the couch, watching a certain programme on the TV when I feel a sharp pain cutting through my back all the way to the lower abdomen.
I let out a deafening shrill which sends Pam running from the kitchen.
I explain to her what I've just felt and her expression changes.
"It's time Donna! Lemmie call Drake to drive us to the hospital."
I panic immediately she says so.
I've never been in labour before and I was so preoccupied such that I forgot I was almost due.
I've been literally  confined in that house for all those months, going out whenever necessary with Don.
He doesn't allow Drake or any other bodyguard to accompany me.
He has been treating me like the princess that I am.😏
I always feel safe with him.
Pam rushes upstairs and comes back with the already packed bag. See, she had advised me on packing a month ago claiming that we never know the time the baby will come knocking.
With the help of Drake, they help me to the car, stopping at some point to rub my back. I've already placed a call to Don and he has promised to be in the hospital immediately.

The reception from the hospital staff is excellent.
Don has been packing up and down the parking lot waiting for us.
He helps me out of the car and literally carries me to the reception.
The pain is more intense and I'm sure the baby is almost coming out.

The nurses surround my bed, making me stiff scared. They stopped Don from entering the labour Ward and assured him everything is gonna be ok.
The nurses instruct me on what to do and within no time, my prince comes out, crying like his life depended on it.

*We had done the scan after the kidnapping scare and we were both happy to have an heir to Don's empire... Our empire!*

A week later, I'm busy breastfeeding the baby when Don comes from work, grinning from ear to ear. What surprises me is the man behind him.
My attention shifts from the baby to the guy then back to the baby. I spring on my feet when I see the third guy behind them and as I head upstairs, Don voice stops me on my tracks.
"Sweetheart, it's high time we put the past behind us."
I throw the three of them confused stares and I Pam comes to my rescue.
"Let me take Adonis upstairs."
I gladly hand her the baby, knowing very well he's safe in her hands.
The men have already settled on the couch and Don has offered them a glass of juice each.
"Donna..."
Gabriel is the first to speak.
"I know I've hurt you alot in the past, thinking I can have you by force but I'm happy that you've found the happiness you so desire in my old friend."
He says, while pointing to Don.
Gab and Don in one sentence!

"Don and I reconciled some months ago and combined our empires. We'll be working together as before and nothing is going to separate us!"
To say I'm shocked will be an understatement. I'm totally tongue tied.
Shawn on the other hand is fidgeting on the edge of the couch.
He seems restless and he has barely touched his juice.
As far as I'm concerned, he has never wronged me so he has no reasons to apologise.

"If you ever hurt her, you'll have me to deal with!"
He addresses Don who laughs heartily before saying;
"She's my wife..
She's my life...
The mother of my kids...
I can't bring myself to hurt her."

I look at Gab and see the sincerinty in his eyes.
"It's ok Gabriel, I've nothing against you. I'm happy that you and my husband have joined hands once more."
I say, smiling broadly.
All that time, Shawn says nothing and when his fidgeting increases, Don invites them for a toast. I'm the only one without a glass but I'm happy the enemity between the two families is over.

We are entangled in a group hug when we hear claps and hululations from outside. Don's men and Gabriel's men get in, dancing and hugging each other.
No more skeletons in the closet.
At that very moment, I'm assured of my safety.
Gab was the only threat but now he's on our side....
