*Ashley's POV*
"ugh is this the reason why we all stay inside the magic barrier? It's so hot" I complain as I fan myself with my hand, it's been a two hour ride in the desert, Jade asks from the passenger seat, "yo Keith what are we doing here anyways?" Keith answers "well in the desert theres a fire crystal, jenny says we cleanse all 4 of them, the fire crystal, ice crystal, the grass crystal, and the dark crystal." Jenny interrupts in the conversation "well... Thats what I think anyway, I dont know deciphering these prophecies are hard."
I scootched over to Nyx to find out more about him, "ummm prince Nyx, I've noticed you've been carrying a big sword around what is it?" he answers "it's an Excalibur, my father gave it to me during my military years" Jenny comes into the conversation "Excalibur? I thought it was just a myth, the story of a king who used it to slay the demons and saved this land" Nyx chuckles "well it is not, and the one wield it was my great grandfather, this sword was passed down through generation to generation, they say it possess magical powers but nothing has ever happened yet."
Jenny pulls her back as if she's dissapointed, I guess she really likes magic.
Baron pulls over the car near a red shrine, he exclaims "alright Jenny were here so do your thing" Jenny rushes over to the shrine and pulls out a gadget, she shouts "all right everyone prepare your weapons" suddenly the ground starts shaking and before I knew it a giant sand worm appears behind me "Ash!" Keith shouts as he pushes me out of the way as the monster charges at Keith instead, grabbing him in his teeth, Tommy castes a freeze spell to make the worm frozen in ice and Jade rushed toward the worm's mouth and grabbed Keith out, the worm breaks free and burrows itself down below.
"everyone keep your eyes sharp!" Baron shouted warning everyone to be prepared, the worm suddenly rises back up grabbing Jenny in its mouth, but with her acrobatics she threw small grenades into its mouth and free falls below as Tommy catches her with his portals. The worm launches itself into the air to dive in for a burrow I summon swords for it to dive right in and just as I planned it face planted itself causing a lot of internal bleeding to the worm, Nyx rushes in for the final blow and a swift from his blade gave a huge opening cut from the worms belly and it dies.
Jenny huffs as tired from the fighting "good job everyone, one down... Three to go" in the corner of my eyes I see Nyx and his sword glowing a hint of red but everyone seemed exhausted to even notice.
Jenny looks back at the crystal and sees nothing happening, Baron asks "you said we have to kill the monster guarding the crystal" Jenny answered in nervousness "uhhh... yeah we need to kill the other three to make it work" Baron shouted "alright everyone back in the car let's go" I whined "what!? We're gonna do more!?" Baron shouted back with his song face "I meant go home fool! " Keith talked back "pfft you're the fool" Baron hears him "keep talking boy."
After getting back to the city Jenny hands out a poster. "the big Ron's palace? " Jade questions "isn't that the nightclub place? " Baron sighs and explains to the whole team "apparently Nyx told me that there's been a demon sighting there and it's our job to kill it, Nyx will do some check up on the magic barrier generator for glitches and cracks while we Infiltrate the demon. Luckily for us Big Ron's Palace is separated in three parts, the nightclub, the casino and the dance quarter, they're gonna have a ball tomorrow night for they're founding anniversary, so girls get your best dresses and learn to dance"
I ask "what about Tommy?" Jenny answers "well he can't stay up that late his parent will get suspicious, besides they don't even know he has magic" Jenny gets on my back and whispers in my ear "don't worry Ash, I have the perfect dress for you, why don't you dance with Keith and me and Jade will do all the work for you" I blush red and whispers back "are you crazy! No I'm just... Gonna do my job! " Jenny giggles.
Baron hands out animal masks "when the demon arrives wear these masks, these will hide your identity so after you kill the demon, run and don't get caught by the police" I grabbed the fox mask and put it in my bag, after Baron dismisses us we set off and go back home.
As I'm walking back to our apartment with Jenny I notice her skipping with joy and at that point I already knew what she was thinking of, ugh why does Jenny want me and Keith together so bad I... I don't understand whats going on between me and Keith.
