Chapter 18: The Second Cleansing

*Ashley's POV*

We head on to the snowy mountain to cleanse the Ice Crystal, as the team hikes on the snow Tommy comes near me and apoligizes "I'm sorry about the flannel" I reply "oh don't sweat it kid" I ask him with curiosity "does your parents know you have magic? " he shake his head "nope only you guys I learned I had them a few years ago, what's weird is that the magic asked me what I wanted to do with it,  after seeing my dad die with cancer I wanted to protect my mother and so it was given to me"

It's surprising to see Tommy being really young and strong, he's only 12 yet he's doing best he can to protect the one he loves. Besides even if he's tough he's still a young boy maybe I should tell Baron that he shouldn't have been recruited.

I go to Baron and had a little chat "hey Baron I know Tommy is just a really strong and all but he's just a kid" Baron replies "are you saying he's not capable of handling magic? I've seen him Ashley he's just as gifted as you are, if he wants to protect others he love then maybe you shouldn't stop him" I look at him with a smile and looked back at Tommy just floating over the snow. I reply back "well he shall protect."

As we finally arrive at the top of the mountain we see a shrine and a blue crystal, Jenny shouts with relief "finally were here god I'm so exhausted with the hiking" Jenny falls down at her back and whines "you guys do the thing, ill be here resting and making a snow angel" Baron gets closer to the crystal to have a closer look and Nyx follows him.

Suddenly Nyx pulls out a gun and points at Baron "ehhrm Baron... The deal? " everyone looks at Baron in confusion. Baron looks down and hands over 3 crystals and apologizes "I'm sorry everyone but we need to head back quickly, Death season is coming" Keith shouts at Baron "you already cleansed the other two? When?! " Jade joins in "Baron? W-what's  happening? What did you do?" Nyx says with confidence as the crystal light up "I really have to thank you all so much cooperating, especially Jenny. "

Jenny tears up trying to explain "g.. Guys I didn't know he gave me a scroll and I just destroyed it I had nothing to do with this I swear! " Baron interrupts in "Jenny what's done is done I had no choice he made me do it or this team would be forever gone" Nyx grabs the last ice crystal and announces "Oblivion is going to come anyways no doubt about it,  so why not spend the rest of our lives in power? " the four crystals light up in color dark, blue, red and green.

Keith charges in to stop him but Nyx magically summons a wall of vines to block his attack,  I throw my swords to teleport behind him and attack there but Nyx turns into a blue icy figure and moves really fast leaving a chill in down our spine, Jenny successfully traps him but turns into a shadowy figure and phases through the trap like a ghost, he then turns fiery red and creates a massive flame around him,  Keith jumps and tries to do a downward attack but Nyx destroys his sword like a toothpick.

Fire is power, Ice is speed,  Nature is defense and shadow is anti-matter. These crystals gave him unstoppable power. Nyx shouts as a cloudy storm approaches the city barrier "Happy Death season and let the Harvester feed on you!" suddenly a tall giant demon shows up inside the city with a giant lance, Baron shouts "quickly back to the city! " everyone ran back to the city and forgets about Nyx.

We quickly hurried back to the city and we see a tall stick figure demon destroying everything in its path we rush to him and fire as much as we can, for me however I went to the tallest building and aimed the back of his neck.

"this 60 feet demon is a beast! " I said to myself all worried, I jump and I land a strike and the demon falls into his knees, as he recovers to get up the team gathered around for a quick plan. Keith asks "so Ash what's the pla-" Jenny makes a weird expression "what you okay Keith? " Keith shouts "y... You're glowing! " he looks at his hands "were all glowing! " the whole team started glowing purple as well as the demon and suddenly we disappear with the demon.

I open my eyes and suddenly were in a black void, the demon floats down from the sky like an angel,  he speaks with a Netflix echo voice "I am the Harvester, I have been sent here from Oblivion" as it lands he points the lance at me "Ashley, the Oblivion tells me to send you and you're friends here for a test, until then I welcome you all to Death Season.
