(Ashley's POV)
*ding ~ dong* the train announcer speaks "we have arrived in Quadrant 2, welcome" a lot of people gets off the train making it really hard for me to look for him, over there!
I shout as loud as I can "KEVIN!" he notices and runs towards me all huffing and puffing. As I help with the luggage he hugs me from behind, I ask him curiously "so... What brings you here? " he answers "oh just wanted to see how my little skank is doing" I giggle as we get on the bus, "I'm not kid old man, besides its only been 5 months since we haven't seen each other".
He tells me everything that has happened the past 5 months "oh Ashley, since I'm all alone I actually a real job now, a lawyer and I even sneakily wiped yours and my criminal records clean" I excitedly scream a little "what!? For real!?" he replies "uh huh, You've always been telling that you wanna live a normal life now and for me to quit the hitman business, bam! Both your wishes granted, how bout you? " I sit lean back and answer "well... These past 5 months have been crazy for me too, I became a chosen one of this prophecy thing, and I learned magic! "
Kevin just smiled happily but he didn't seem surprised as he knew that good things would turn up.
Things started to be awkwardly silent a bit so I kept on asking questions "so... What do you wanna do here? And where you gonna live" ugh just hearing me say that makes feel like I'm Jenny.
He answers "oh ummm I plan to stay at a nearby hotel, and I also heard they have exclusive malls here too so I saved up a lot of money".
After we arrive at my apartment I ring the door for Jenny to answer the door as my hands are full, she opens the door with a shocked expression "*Gasp* Ash! You're not cheating on Keith are you?! " Kevin stares at me with a smile "you got a boyfriend? "
I pull Kevin inside and slam the door shut and complained to Jenny "how many times do I have to tell you, I dont have a boyfriend! And besides he's like 48, he's just my old friend. He taught me everything from shooting to parkour"
Jenny glares at Kevin "woah so your like, Ashley's sense woah" she gets on her knees "oh Kevin sir, thank you for creating this perfect girl" as Kevin start to cringe I quickly pull Jenny's arm up "Jenny, guest, iced tea, now" she replies happily "on the way".
After some talks I remembered something special "hey Kevin I just remembered there is a ice cream parlor near that we love around here" Jenny exclaims "you mean tasty robins?! Gawd I love that place!" Kevin agrees "yup 31 flavors different flavors every month" Jenny babbles on "man I love the bubblegum flavor" Kevin agrees again "yes but I prefer the caramel" I interrupt in "alright alright, listen I'll invite the team and let's all go for some ice cream" Jenny exclaims with excitement "HELL YEAH! ".
After the team arrives and introduced each other we all went to the ice cream parlor and grabbed seats and shared stories, after a lot of talking Jade shared an idea "guys theres a paintball forest a few blocks away, and since Kevin says he's a "professional" hitman how about taking on the whole team? " with a smug looking face she reaches her hand out to Kevin for a handshake, I exclaim "jade are you kidding? He's a retired hitman obviously we would win" suddenly to my surprise Kevin shakes Jade's hand and accepts her offer, I quietly agree with him "alright... If you say so".
After finishing our ice cream Baron had to do some paper work so he couldn't stay, and Tommy on the other hand was still too young to join the game so it got cut down to a 1 v 4 but I still thought it was a pretty tough challenge. As we arrive to the paintball place we signed up, grabbed our gears and Kevin quickly rushed into the forest, jade reacted "optimistic! I likey".
As we head into the forest we decided to split up into two, Jenny was with Jade and I was with Keith, after wandering into the forest it was already scary for it was quiet... Too quiet. After minutes I hear a rapid gunshots across the woods and I quickly take cover with Keith, more gunshots were heard, as my heart races in anxiety if Kevin lost or not and suddenly my mind takes over, "Kevin can't lose, hes a beast, top 2 hitman! There's no way! " "Aaaaahhh! " suddenly I hear Jenny's scream, probably in the pain of the paintballs.
As we go keep going forward into the woods Keith gets shot in the leg, as scared as I was I ran and suddenly multiple shots of paintballs fly towards me but I was able to dodge it, I kept running and running figuring out where he is so as soon as he stops to reload my window will be revealed, there! On top of trees to west, he stops firing and quickly aim at him and-
N... No way.... I realize now that he didn't run out of ammo, he faked it knowing that I would stop, he pulls the trigger firing his paintball to my hand making me lose grip of the gun and fires again to my chest, his art of murder.... Beautiful.
After I go back to the entrance I see everyone there, Kevin breaks out a laugh "haha oh man was that fun! I may be old but I can still shoot" everyone admits defeat but I see Jade all in paint, she goes to me all grumpy "never mention this again! " Kevin asks me curiously "what's up with her? " Jenny answers "oh don't mind her she's always like that". Keith compliments Kevin to me "damn your old man sure knows how to shoot, even Jade can't get close to him".
As it gets dark I bring Kevin to his hotel and greet him goodbye "so how long will you be staying here? " he answers "hmm about a week, how about you? " I answer "I got duties to do here, maybe when I turn 20" I hug him tightly trying not to cry "Kevin... Thanks for... Everything" he pats me on the head "are you kidding? It's the least I could do" I walk back slowly from him "well... See ya you old hag! " he smiles and waves goodbye.
