Chapter 21:Will of Friends

*Ashley's POV*
*Present day*

I see myself in my old mansion again, white background and distorted, floating objects and all, room that lead to nowhere and stairs leading to the ceiling "is this in my head?" I question myself as i keep wondering.

Everywhere I turn is something new, everything keeps changing and its so... Random, and yet I go around accepting that I'm in my own mind... This is.... My unconscious mind.

I feel dizzy and all of sudden flame starts surrounding me, I try and get out quickly but my body was too hot and I fall on my back, I can't breathe and my body is getting hotter. I hyperventilate shouting for help "HELP!  HELP!" I start to cough rapidly, is this how I'm going to die?

Suddenly I awake in my bed from a nightmare but it felt almost too real.

I stretch and yawn and get out of my bed to make breakfast, Jenny sits down getting ready to stuff her face with food, she asks "so... About the Jade seed" I reply with a smile "oh its alright Karthus canceled the deal" she makes a surprised expression. "oh... Oh okay,  by the way where are you from?  I'm from England " I answer as I spread the butter on the pancake "oh is that why you have that accent I'm half American and half french"

She replies with a giggle "hmm well I think you're full American but I do sometimes hear that French style in your voice" I giggle as well and places the tall blueberry pancake on the table

Jenny looks amazed as she glazes at the tower like pancake "woah! How'd you do that!? It looks so fancy! It looks like one of those pancakes you see on magazines" I answer "oh I learned fancy cooking when I was young"

She grabs out her phone and starts taking pictures, she thinks of an idea "maybe I should let you do all the cooking from now on" I giggle along "creme brûlée for dinner?" Jenny slams her hands on the table "I don't know what it is,  but yes please" her eyes starts to glow like stars, I question her "J... Jenny?  Your ummm....  Eyes are glowing like stars" she grabs a fork in a dramatic almost cartoonist way "they're glowing huh...." she gives off a deep evilish voice "good" like a beast she starts devouring the pancake like she's never eaten before.

I try and get my fork out to grab some but she she grabs the pancake and start running towards her room "MINE!! " I shout back "FOR FUCKS SAKE I MADE IT! " she shouts back "YOU SAID YOU MADE IT FOR ME! " she slams the door and I give off a sigh "well, she's right about that".

I head outside to get the mail but in the corner of my eye I see Keith down the road, I head on over to him to greet him "hey Keith whats uh...  What are you doing in front of my apartment?" he answers with a surprise "this is your place?!  It's my place too, I didn't we were neighbors" I laugh almost as faking it, Keith asks "what's so funny? " I quickly nervous breakdown my anxiousness rise up "oh I was laughing... At a... Uh.... I was laughing at the fact that it's.... Coincidence?!" oh geez this is so awkward, I cover my cheeks with my hair to avoid blushing, he replies "hmm... Oh yeah that is funny if you think about it hehehe" I turn around for. Bit and I already see Jenny taking pictures of me and Keith ugh.

"Hey! " Suddenly a group gangs calls me out "you're that girl from before! " I was confused at first but I remembered, they're the guys who tried to steal my wallet, they continued "I don't who that yellow guys was but it seems your alone now, hehehe I'm gonna kidnap you and lick you...  Down your neck" I make a disgusted face but suddenly Keith steps in forward and knocks everyone out cold, he asks me "how do you attract these kind of guys? He rubs and cracks his knuckles as he come to me, my eyes starts to squint a bit "m... My hero" he slants his head "what did you say? " I quickly panic knowing I said that out loud and not in my thoughts "n... Nothing!!"

A bus comes over and Keith asks me a question "I'm going to the movies would you like to come with me? " I nod and agrees without hesitation.

When we arrived to the movies there was problem, you see it was all.... Romance movies. I wanted to avoid myself feeling... erotic beside him but luckily there was one movie while was a scary movie, well Its about time I get turned on by a ghost hehehe"

As we get our popcorns we head inside the cinema and suddenly it was way worse than I imagined.

For the whole movie I was way too scared to even watch alone without anything to hug or cover my eyes with and so I had two choices, one, hug a random stranger for the whole movie or....  Hug Keith for the whole movie....  Well I've come too far.

When the movie ended and we got out Keith didn't seem to mind me holding him tightly.... Too.... Tightly...

Suddenly we see people running to a smoke,  me and Keith head down to see what's going on.  I shouted "OUR BASE! " me and Keith ran and we find Baron and Tommy together "what happened!?" Keith asks Tommy tells me frightened "i...it was Nyx" Keith replies "that piece of shit" Tommy questions "all our stuff and the scrolls are gone,  does this mean it's all over? "

Baron shouts furious "NO! just because he burnt down our base doesn't it's the end, he may have burn down our stuff but he didn't burn down our spirits to fight" me, Tommy, and Keith were motivated by Barons speech and decide for a better place for HQ.  I recommended a solution "how about we Kerthus for help?  Baron I know you don't like him but items worth a try" he sighs "Ashley you know his.... *sigh* ask him"

With Nyx having powers like this I still worry if we could really have a chance to stop him.
