"Wa aleykum salam" he replied emotionlessly.

I bent my head and bit my lip, I didn’t know what to say for how relieved yet guilty i was feeling.

"You're okay?" He finally asked, concern ringing in the deep of his voice.

"Not really" I whispered and tears began to stream on my cheeks.

"What's wrong?" He asked like a dad would do with his child.

"I-I don’t know... It's all messed up!" I whispered angry at myself. E

He kept silent and for a second I thought he hung up but he spoke. "Don’t worry, everything is going be alright."

"No it's not" I answered. "I'm lost and... And you were right!"

"Hey it's okay. It's okay. Where are you now, is Caroline with you?"

"No I kind of flee from the house and now I don’t know where I am"

"What?!" He exclaimed. "What happened? Oh and forget it. Isn’t there a panel or something?"

I looked around me and the woman gestured me a panel on which was written the name of the street. "Mmh wait it's Rue des Archives in..." The woman gestured beside me "the fourth? No third arrondissement." I tried to decipher.

"Okay. Just wait there I'm coming"

"But I can’t they're going to find me. Caroline and Maxime are after me and I can’t stay here for too long"

"What?! What do you mean?"

The woman raised her brows, suddenly curious. "Mmmh I'll explain later, where are you?" I asked.

"At work but don’t do anything stupid, okay. Just wait there. " he warned me.

"I'm in a small shop and it's going to close soon. Besides it'll take you too much time to come"

"Okay okay." He thought a bit and finally said "let's meet at the metro but be careful. There's a station not so far from where you are. Do you have a map on you?"

"No" I said in desperation “I have nothing but my phone"

"Look I'll be here in a second, just stay where you are" he said, changing his mind "the time we talk is the time I'll be there. I'm going now"

"Okay but don’t hang up please"

"Okay" he answered and I heard muffled voices and the sound of an engine.

"Madame. I have to close now"

"Please can’t you wait a little? He's coming right now"

"Ah I'm sorry but I have to go, I have an appointment now"

"You can’t be a bit late?" I asked hopelessly.

She shook her head and shrugged her shoulders "I'm sorry"

"Okay no problem. Oh and thanks for the phone call of earlier" i smiled and joined the pavement.

I saw her close the little shop and she waved at me a last time before walking down the narrow streets.

"Yassin?" I risked.

"Yeah?" He answered.

"The shop closed and I'm in still in rue des archives"

"Find a safe place and wait me there. I think there's a park near where you are"

"I'll try" I answered with a smile and confidence rushing to me.
