The pizzeria was small and dimly lit. We navigated the crowded room and sat at a small table in the corner of the room.

"Hey! Hey, Taylor!" someone called from across the room. We both turned our heads quickly to see where the noise was coming from, neither of us fancied being mobbed my rabid fan girls.

Across the room, Bart was waving his hands in the air like a nut job.

"Hey guys! Come sit over here!" he yelled embarrassingly loud. Tay look at me guiltily, I just shrugged and followed him over.

Sitting at the table opposite Bart was a fairly cute boy with short blonde hair and pair of hipster glasses. He wasn't fat, but he wasn't exactly thin either. There was just something about him that made you look. The way he held himself had a slightly homosexual flair to it, but as soon as he spoke, his voice broke that image.

"Hello, I do not believe we have met before" he smiled offering me the seat beside him. "My name is Edward and you are...?"

"Courtney" I replied, shyly sitting down beside him.

We sat for about an hour just talking. He was polite, asking me questions about myself, adding compliments whenever he could. I hardly noticed Taylor glaring at me from across the table.

"Courtney, I think its time we headed home now, don't you think?" Taylor interrupted. I looked at him with sorrowful eyes, he just continued to glare.

"Oh, that's a shame... do I at least get a number?" Edward smiled sweetly. I handed d him a napkin with my name and number on it. With a smile and a flirty wink, I left with Taylor trailing behind.

"What's your problem?" I hissed at Taylor as soon as we left the building.

"I'm sorry, I just don't like him. I'm trying to look out for you"

"Well, don't. Edward is nice"

"NO! He is a perverted asshole, can't you tell?! He looks like the type of guy who'd hit a girl for fun" I stared at him, completely mortified.

"How could you say that?! Edward is a lovely guy! He'd never hurt anyone, let alone a girl!" I yelled defensively.

"Please just stay away from him!"

"I can't believe you!" I screamed, storming off. He ran and caught up with me.

"Please, Courtney, I don't trust him... I'd die if he hurt you!" Taylor sobbed, a single tear falling from his right eye.

"Taylor, please, he would never hurt me!" he looked at me. His face showed sad and heartbroken.

"Courtney, please... trust me" I just rolled my eyes and stalked off, home.

I arrived home and put my key in the door. It opened silently for once. I kicked off my shoes in the hall and walked lazily into the living room.

"Fuck!" I screamed, shielding my eyes. "Chloe, for god's sake, get a room!"

"Hey, we had one until you stormed in!" she laughed.

I heard the sound of feet padding across the floor, meaning they were picking up their clothes and putting them on, followed by Chloe's laugh.

"Okay, are you decent?" I sighed as I jumped into the arm chair.

"Yeah, sorry" Carter said wiping lipstick off of his neck.

"No Taylor" he said, winking at Chloe.

"We had an argument" I shrugged, miserably.

"That sucks. Well, anyway, excuse us" Carter said, grabbing hold of Chloe's arm. They ran and stumbled out of the room. I heard banging and laughing, followed by rough kissing sounds in the hall.

"Give him a chance, Chlo, he's fragile. And keep it down!" I called after them. I heard Chloe's excited laughter, which was quickly silenced by a slamming door and what sounded like someone being thrown on the bed.
