After spilling everything I remembered about the Glade, the maze and how I seemingly don't remember past banishing myself, all I receive are stares of complete disbelief.

"What?" I finally say, everyone had moved so far ahead yet the six of us hadn't moved from the time I had confessed to not knowing Teresa.

"It's just... I don't get it" Harriet looks at Thomas and then Teresa before her eyes settle back on me,

"It's not that hard, I just don't remember anything. Although I find it weird I remember my brother, but I don't remember anything other than his face" I confess.

"Rose why didn't you tell anyone before?" Thomas asks, Teresa jabs him in the stomach,

"Shut up"

Thomas rolls his eyes, keeping his mouth shut.

"I didn't think it was overly important to say any of this klunk"

"It seems a little important" Harriet shrugs in a matter-of-fact tone.

"Considering that makes two girls in the maze and your label is 'the mistake' " Joy uses her hands to make quotation marks in the air.

"Thank you for that observation" I deadpan.

I really didn't need anymore reminding of this, being alone with my thoughts had me reminded of the fact that label will be on the back of my neck for the rest of my life. All because WICKED just like being cruel for the 'greater good' if it meant sacrificing every immune child to do it.

The hours trudged on as did we all, Teresa had seemingly disappeared when I saw her slip back, almost like she was sprinting away.

When I turned to try and follow she was gone, almost like a magic trick. I shake my head, where'd he go?

I begin walking backward, looking around for any sight of Thomas. My mind now completely fried, something was up.

I feel someone grab my forearm, pulling back to the group. I look up and see Harriet, "just keep moving" she states.

I don't try and resist, I didn't know these people and just because they show a little compassion doesn't mean that compassion was going to happen every time.

I focus on walking instead, keeping to my own world and following blindly until everyone had made it to the bottom of the mountains.

"Hey where's the Thomas kid?" Sonya asks as she looks to me and Harriet.

We both shrug, "don't know, he bail?" Harriet speaks, looking over both of her shoulders.

I furrow my eyebrows before cupping my hands over my mouth, "Thomas!" I shout, "Thomas!"

"Hey! Knock it off" Sonya says as she prys my hands from my face, "you'll lure the cranks attention, just keep moving"

"But-"

"He'll be fine, he survived Harriet and Teresa" Joy smiles, speaking quietly as she nods her head and grabs me by the arm.

I sigh loudly and trudge along, unfortunately I forget about looking where I walk and trip over a protruding root, my body now tumbling unwillingly down the hill before stopping a few feet down in a ditch.

Every part of my body aches as I push myself up, I look down and see my clothes now covered in even more dirt and my clothes already drenched in sweat and sticking to my body.

My body makes me aware of the fresh wound in my right arm and I wince as I cradle my bad shoulder.

"Rose! Are you ok?" Sonya shouts, all the girls had stopped to look down in my general direction,

I stick my left arm in the air with a thumbs up, "all good!"

I step out of the ditch and level myself, ignoring the overly dizzy feeling in my head.

"Just sit down! We'll be down there soon!" Harriet calls out.

Good I think to myself as I sit down with a huff, trying to ignore the aching pain all over and the stinging pain in my shoulder.

I watch as the girls all move down the hill, stopping when they reach me, "oh Rose, you're all dirty" Joy says as she rubs at my cheek gently, obviously covered in dirt now.

"Let's keep moving, you good to walk?" Harriet questions, looking me up and down for any injures.

"Stupid shucking root! That's the second time!" I protest.

"I think she's just got some hurt pride" Sonya whispers to Harriet although it was loud enough for me to hear,

"Hey! That's not true" I pout.

Sonya laughs as she pats my back, "I like you"

I cough a few times, "you have some shuck strength"

"Less talking and more walking" Harriet commands as she breaks up the conversation and begins walking the small distance until we make it off the mountain.

Everyone also seemed worried about the storm brewing above us, the  clouds darkening and the wind picking up.

"We'll be safe soon... right?" I ask to no one in particular.

No one replies, we all didn't know what would happen to us anymore. Soon our uncertainty would most definitely turn into fear.
