I woke up in a daze. I heard screaming coming from the distance. "Abigail!, Abigail!, Wake up. It's time to go."
It's hard to open my eyes, I can't breath right. What's wrong with me?
I feel strong arms against my bony back. What's going on?
2 days later.
I hear a bee buzzing. It sounds close by. Why can't I move my left arm? Someone's talking. I hear my name. It takes all my strength to open my eyes. It's so bright, yet so dark. There's a group of people in the corner talking in hushed voices.
"Hard to tell when she'll wake up." Sounds like some old man?
I start to get this burning sensation in my stomach. Next thing I know I'm hurling over in pain.
They all turn and look at me with wide eyes. Like I'm some wild creature to them. "That's not possible," says the lady with black crazy curls on top of her head.
"What's your name?" A short stuby guy with a grey beard asked me. He had a weird accent to him. It almost felt natural. Almost.
"Abigail." I say. But I don't know how I know. I just know.
"We got the right one. Teddy would've killed us if we brought back the wrong girl." Says the lady with black curly hair.
I can't remeber my last name. Which is strange because I remember who I am. This sends my brain in a full blast marathon of the last events that occurred. Oh no.
"My mom!!" At first, it was hard to get up but then, I just got up. I started walking towards the door, but some really tall guy got in the way.
"Excuse you?!" "Get out of my way!" I screamed at the dude.
"No can do Princess." A male voice says from behind me. I turn fast. I look right into those bright blue baby eyes of his. I stare so long and hard he looks away. "And why can't I leave?"
"You're not ready." He declares. "What do you mean I'm not ready? You don't even know me!"
"That's all the better! Look at yourself. You're weak."
I slowly bring my eyes to look down at my body. It doesn't feel like my body, yet when I bring my arm down to touch my leg, the arm moves like its connected to me. Which is stinging like a bitch if you ask me.
"Where am I at, anyhow?" I say as I go to sit on a huge rock by the wall.
"You are lucky to be alive, that's where your at." The blue eyed boy told me. "What's your name?" I enquire. As I roll up my pants leg to check out my knee.
"Ryker" He pronounces. I look up at him. He's already looking at me. I feel like I have seen those blue eyes but I can't put my finger on it.
Ryker points at an old couple by the sinks washing up, "That's Martha and Teddy, their the only reason why your alive. With out them we would not have gotten word from the city that your village was going to be attacked. They're your great-great grandparents, Abigail. They risked they're lives to go and save you. You're not who you think you are Abigail. You're one of us now."
