A Farewell Smile

Today, Daiki need to finish his group assignment  before the dateline. So, he and few friends have been in library for 3 hours since the morning.

Daiki is busy reading a book to extract any information that related to his assignment. In front of him, Ryosuke, is busy typing the assignment in his laptop. A few times, he stop because his fingers feel tired after typing without stop since the morning. Keito still missing between the rack, looking for any books that can be use in the assignment.

Then, Keito comes with a few more books.

"Here are some more books." Keito said as he put the books in front of Daiki and Ryosuke.

"Ah, I'm tired." Ryosuke said but in low voice as he didn't want to disturb others.

Keito walk beside Daiki and take the empty seat beside him.

"Sorry, Ryosuke. We need to finish this assignment this week." Daiki said.

"Isn't the dateline is next week?" he ask.

"I got a camp with the club member next week. So, I won't be here." Daiki reply.

"And I need to finish another assignment with other group on next week." Keito add.

"Why am I the only one got nothing to do next week?" he said.

"Because you always pair with Daiki and you have a boring life." Keito reply.

Daiki chuckles when his friends arguing between each other. 

While watching his friends continuing arguing, he saw Aiko and Takaki walk together on the hallway of the library. They seems close to each other. Aiko smiles all along talking to Takaki. He feels jealous a little bit. Why?

"Who's that?" Ryosuke suddenly disturb Daiki.

"Ah, what?" Daiki shock when his friend noticed he's been stared to the pair.

"That." Ryosuke pointing to the pair that already reach the exit door.

"Who's them? I saw you look at them." Keito ask this time.

"No, nothing. Just my friend." he answer before continuing reading his book.

"The boy or the girl?" Ryosuke continue asking.

"I'm gonna find another book." he said before leaving without answering the question.

Both of them knowing that Daiki might did't want to answer the question, so they continue their works which is still half away to go. Daiki already missing between the rack to search another book for their assignment.

While Daiki busy looking for books, suddenly his phone vibrating. A message coming into his inbox.

"Hi Daiki! Are you free tomorrow? Let's met? I want to go somewhere." a message from Aiko.

"You're so lucky that I'm free tomorrow. So, when are we going?" he reply.

"How about tomorrow morning? We can have a walk the whole day. 😁" she reply.

"Wow, whole day? Are you serious? Are you okay, Aiko? Hahaha." 

"Yes, I am serious. I know you miss me right?" she reply again. Daiki smile when he see that message.

"What? Are you kidding? Why should I miss you? Then, where are going to meet?" Daiki ask.

"Hahaha. Don't be shy. Hm, at usual place? The park." she reply.

"No. I'm not. Okay, at park. See you tomorrow, little penguin! 🐧" he reply.

"Okay, monkey! 🐒" she sent her last reply.

Daiki smile after seeing her reply. He admit that he likes Aiko since they were little. But, he know that Aiko might has her own choice, so he decided to keep his feeling to his own. He know that Aiko won't choose him because they already know each other since they were little.

He decide that he going to forget about what he saw earlier. That's her life. It's up to her with whom she want to be friend or whom she want to have a relationship. He didn't want to ruin their friendship just because his feelings towards Aiko.
