A few days later...
It was Friday night, a night I've been looking forward to. Ray found me some clothes that made me look decent though not too fancy either. I my black hair was lightly gelled so it didn't look too crazy as if I just woke up from bed. I never really felt so excited in my life. I sat on my bed as I was thinking of her. I couldn't stop blushing which kinda made me feel embarrassed. I just hope I don't do that in front of her, it'll make it hard to speak. I headed down stairs and saw Ray sitting at the table in the dinning room. I sat in front of him, though he didn't notice at first since he was on his phone. He then looked up at me with a smile, I couldn't help but smile to.
"Seems you're ready for your date." Ray said.
"Yeah you bet, I've never been so excited in my life." I agreed.
Kendall then walked in with the car keys and a smile as well.
"You boys ready?" She asked.
"Wait are you joining me?" I asked while feeling a little anxious.
"Of course not, this is your night, why would we ruin that?" He asked with a smirk.
"Sorry, it's just that I don't wanna ruin this night." I apologized.
"Oh so you think we'd ruin it, I totally see your trust in us." Ray joked.
I just gave gave him an annoyed expression. I then shook my head and walked off, I could tell Ray was holding a laugh and I didn't want to hear it.After a bit longer, we finally got in the car and starting heading to the restaurant. I don't quite remember the name, I just know its a fancier restaurant compared to most around the area. I'm just glad Ray and Kendall are helping me out in this, money and support. Without them, I couldn't imagine how much of a nervous wreck I could've been. I'm just happy that I'll be way more confident now, though still a little nervous. Though, from what I can tell, that it's pretty normal to be a little nervous, especially if it's my first date. After a little longer, we eventually made it to the restaurant. I looked up and saw what it's called, Marco's Family Diner. I looked in the window and saw that it was pretty clean and that the people were well dressed. Jeez, I would've felt like an outcast if I came here with my regular clothes. I heard footsteps coming from behind me and I turned a round. What I saw, was more beautiful than I could imagine, Dawn. Her dress sparkled white and her eyes were pure blue. I also noticed she didn't wear make-up. I never really see girls nowadays without it. As I was starring at her, I couldn't say a word, I was stunned in udder amazement.
"You look as if you saw a ghost." Dawn said while laughing a bit.
"S-sorry, it's just that I didn't think I'd see like this." I responded awkwardly.
"What do you mean like this?" She asked confused.
"You're just...beautiful." I responded.
She smiled and blushed a bit. "Well thank you." She said.
I opened the door for her and we entered. As we entered, the host came up to us and got us sat down. After a bit of waiting, we got our drinks and we began to talk some more.
"So, out of curiosity, why did you say yes?" I asked.
"You shouldn't ask a girl that." Dawn pointed out.
"Oh, sorry." I said.
"It's fine, I said yes because I thought maybe I can give you a chance. You seem like a nice guy as well mannered." She responded.
"Heh, well I hope I can prove that I'm garbage." I said, feeling terrible about what I said about myself.
"Well you're doing fine so far, I don't see any reason you are." Dawn explained.
This was starting out more awkward than I intended, but I'm glad she doesn't know how truly awkward I am...I think. Our waitress finally arrived and we were able to order our food. From what she ordered, she seemed to like steak, or anything beef related. We sat for a bit, admiring one another, I couldn't help but feel lucky to be around her. Out of no where, I felt as if heat was burning near by. I looked around and to my demise, I couldn't believe who I saw, Alan. I wouldn't mistake his purple eyes for nothing else, his wicked smile, his murderous intent on his face. As soon as Dawn turned around, the heat disappeared. As if his signal was gone, hiding himself. I felt confused but ignored it all the same. She then turned back to me, she then looked worried. From what she could see, I had a horrified face. That's all could feel as well, horrified. I didn't want to see Alan, not here of all places. Then, Alan got up and started walking towards us. My heart began to beat faster and faster, all I could feel is fear. As he walked up to our table and kept looking at me. He then stood in front of us for a good second.
"Chase, it's been awhile my friend." Alan said in a hyper like tone.
"W-what?" I asked, still horrified.
"Dude, you don't remember me, we were friends back in middle school." He responded.
He then turned to Dawn.
"Oh, you're on a date. Sorry about that miss." He apologized to Dawn.
"You're fine." Dawn responded, feeling a little uneasy.
"Do you mind if I talk to Chase for a bit, just for old times sake?" He asked her.
"Um, sorry but I'm kinda in the middle of..." I said before being cut off by Dawn.
"You can, just for a bit though." Dawn said.
To me and Alan, this was a surprise.
"But Dawn." I said.
"Don't worry Chase, she'll be here for you." Alan said while dragging me with him.
I could feel a tear running from eye, I didn't know if this was the end or not for me.He took me outside and the side of the restaurant that no one could see us.
"What do you want from me?" I asked feeling terrified.
"I see you've been training a bit." He said with a smile.
"W-what?" I asked shocked.
"Don't act surprised, I want this to happen anyway." Alan responded.
I just stood their silent, I didn't want to say nothing more. He then thought for a minute.
"I see you are on a little date." He pointed out.
"Yeah, so what?" I asked.
"Very interesting girl." He began, "Not the first time I've seen things switch sides."
I felt confused on what he was saying, I didn't know what to really do.
"Are you going to hurt her?" I asked, nervously.
"No, no, not if she's not in the way." He warned.
I really wanted to punch him, but I knew I wouldn't be able to do anything, even if I was able to get a hit.
"Well I better be off, I've had my fun tonight. This is by far my favorite restaurant." He pointed out. He then walked off, but then turned around with his smile once more.
"I can't wait till our next encounter." Alan said before snapping his fingers to disappear.A second later, Ray came running over to where I was.
"Where's Alan." He asked with anger in his face.
"He just left." I responded, still a little horrified.
"Did he hurt you?" Ray asked.
"No, just wanted to talk." I responded.
"Well you go on in and go see Dawn, we'll talk about this later." He ordered.
I nodded and started head back inside. The door behind me nearly closed, but then I heard Mark's voice. So I barely kept it opened.
"Ray we need to talk." Mark said.
"Why, what's going on?" He asked him.
"Look, we can't discuss it here, come with me." Mark ordered.
"What about Chase?" He asked.
"He'll be fine, Alan won't be returning tonight." Mark responded.
"Alright, if you say so." Ray said.
Then there was weird noise soon after he stopped talking. I opened the door again, only to see then gone again. What was going on with Mark?
