It was the next day and we had to get ready to leave. I was just about join everyone when someone grabbed my shoulder. I turn around.

"Mother!!! I can't believe it! Oh my gosh it has been forever!" I say, enveloping her in a hug. I am beyond happy to see her.

"Hey, sweetheart! I am so proud of you! My little daughter is all grown up and going to war!" She says, tears rolling down her face.

"Oh, naneth! I will miss you so much!!" I hug her tighter, not wanting to let go.

"Here, Dalia. Take this. Once you find the right man, the one you fall in love with, give it to him. It is a sign of love." She said. She held out her hand revealing a small necklace. It was gold and shaped as antlers. "Naneth... I-I.. This is so beautiful! Thank you!" I say, putting on the necklace.

"Oh please. Don't thank me. It's just as much yours now as it is mine." My mother replies happily. "Good luck on your journey! It's going to be long!"

"I will be safe, Naneth. I promise." I say, reassuring her. She pulls me in for a tight hug before kissing my forehead and leaving. I smile as I start heading outside. On my way, I catch up to Legolas when I notice him. "Hey, you haven't spoken a word to me since yesterday. Are you okay?" He unwillingly looks up at me with a smile. It didn't quite touch his eyes. It was the most fake smile I have ever seen. He's never given me that one before.

"Fine and dandy." He answers. I could tell he was being extremely sarcastic.

"Legolas, just because you don't want me to come with you on this journey, doesn't mean you can just ignore me! I am not letting you go without me. You must understand! I love you too much to watch you leave and possibly never come back!" I say, crying. "I need you, Legolas." He just stood there, looking at me, a hint of sadness on his face.

"I just can't watch you die, Dalia. That is why I am mad at you." Legolas says flatly.

"You won't watch me die. Trust me. And besides, I have you by my side! And I am a great warrior." I say, trying to cheer him up. He smirks. "Haha made you smile!" I tease.

"There is never a time you don't make me smile, my love." He replies, kissing my forehead. I laugh and smile before going out the door.

"Alright, we shall be on our way." Gandalf announces to the rest of us. And just like that, we were off.
