Unexpected things (Voltron fan fiction)

Slaying night

Shiro's pov

We are looking for them now for more than 2 hours and still, nothing.

"Shiro you look tired you should take a nap. We will wake you up if we find something."

I agreed, went into my room in my bed and immediately fell asleep.

Allure woke me up. The galra are attacking the castleship. We ran straight into the control room.

The galra are shooting at us. The castleship is shaking.

"We can't hold them up any longer!" Coran yelled.

"And we can't wormhole out we don't have enough energy" added Allura.

A last big shot and they destroyed our particle barrier.

"Oh, No!"

The galra stormed the castelship. How can they be so fast?

I began preparing me for a attack as Zarkon's voice echoed through the room:

"Ha ha ha!" he laughed loud "Now you lost, black paladin! Surrender or your dear friends are going to die!"

What?  Zarkon came into the castle with chained paladins with sad expressions. Keith tried to fight back, but with no result. The other's were down. Almost no hope to see in their eyes.

"Surrender or your dear paladins are going to die!" repeated the King of the dark.

I don't have any choice, Zarkon isn't kidding. He is threatening my friends.

sigh "No. I surrender" I deactivated my arm.

Allura is crying behind me. Coran is trying to calm her down.

"Well, well. That's a good paladin" smirked Zarkon.

"No Shiro don't do that! He isn't to trust!" Allura cried out.

They chained me too.

I hear her collapse on the floor behind me and her, crying even louder.

This must have broken her heart.

They took advantage of the opportunity and chained them too. 

The other paladins lost all hope. 

They are broken I see the fear in their eyes. 

Pidge began to cry. 

Hunk had no more joy, he's eyes seemed empty as if he wasn't really there anymore. 

Keith is struggling and lance just sits there without a word, without hope.

It broke my heart.

Zarkon laughed. Then he gave a hand sign...

"No!!" I can't believe this is happening. No! 

A gala raised his big knife. 

Hunk just gave me one last sad glance bevor the galra swung he's knife. 

He was slaughtered. Everywhere was blood. 

I can't believe he did it! Nooooo!!!

Then he took a step to lance. 

Lance let his head hanging and looked on the floor.

With tears in my eyes I saw how Lance too was slaughtered. How?!!

My lips began to tremble as he walked to the crying Pidge she looked directly to the galra as she too was...

My tears start to fall. "Noo!!" No, no, no. Not Katie she's to young. The other's too.

I want to say a word to Zarkon. How could he...! But as I began to speak my voice failed.

I tried with my last strength to break free to rescue them but no success. I was useless.

Then it was Keith's turn he just said a broken "goodbye" and sad smiled at me as he was also killed. 

All I could do was watching. I couldn't do anything to help them. I didn't do anything to prevent it. I broke my promise. My promise to bring them healthy back to earth, to protect them. 

They took the quintessence of the alteans with a big syringe and killed them through that too.

The whole floor was a lake of  blood. The dead body's on the floor. I couldn't look at them. 

I had eventually the strength to yell at Zarkon who laughed. 

"NOOOOOOOO!!!!! YOU KILLED THEM!!!! HOW COULD YOU DO THAT?!!! YOU MONSTER?!!!" I screamed in tears. 

Zarkon wasn't impressed he was more amused at the scene.

Then, Zarkon personally came to me with his sword.

"And now you. Champion. Ha ha ha. You're so weak. It's beloved to see you like this"

He laughed even more as he raised his sword. I scream very load with tears in my eyes. 

All I see is black.
