PROLOGUE

I glance around the room of teenagers and there's an undeniable sense of hope running through my veins. In another world, or perhaps in another timeline we would've had the luxury of being immature, of learning from the mistakes that we will inevitably make, of falling in love and growing old with the people we love. But in this world the mistakes we make will cost us our lives, so we don't dare leave anything to chance.

Every individual here has a story to tell and whether they tell that story is not up to me. It is up to them. Only they have the ability to live their best life possible. Even if it's different from the one they knew before. The zombie virus took so much away from us, things we will never get back. That doesn't mean we have to give up.

Today we embark on our last journey together, to save the world. Although they don't believe in us today's our last chance to show them that we can erase the damage that they've done.

We can save the world they've destroyed.

This room not only holds ten teenagers but it holds the cure for humanity. Although we may have our differences I cannot shake the overwhelming feeling of love I have for these people. These people are my family.

We are our last hope...

This is the end of the world.
