"well. none of us have a car so the only way you can get home is walking...or you can stay the night?" hyunjin said guiltily, watching the younger begin saying his goodbyes and collecting his stuff. "do you want me to come with you? it's chan's night tonight."

"it's alright. i can manage." seungmin turned around to face hyunjin and gave him his most charming smile, making it impossible for hyunjin to argue.

"alright. just text me when you get home so i know you're safe okay? also so i can update you about mall plans." hyunjin handed seungmin a paper with numbers quickly written on it, waving goodbye as left the underground base.

seungmin breathed in the fresh air that hit his face when he left the base. he headed home just like usual before getting stopped by a familiar person. 

"seungmin? didn't think i'd meet you here. didn't hyunjin walk you home after your hangout?" chan asked, forgetting that he was rambling. seungmin just giggled a little. 

"nah i told him i'll be fine on my own. anyway, we had to postpone it cause someone came up to his. his name was..sojun?" seungmin pondered for a second, suddenly remembering the cut left on his hand. "oh! he also left a cut on my hand so... i had to self defend!" seungmin commented, watching chan's expression change. 

"i'll make sure i talk to him. anyway, my men are defending the area tonight. here, have this. if anyone tried to hurt you, just show them this." chan handed seungmin a necklace which made seungmin whisper a little thanks. 

they both said their good-byes and left each other. seungmin's entire walk home was just people pouncing on him before realizing he had chan's specific necklace, indicating their friendship. once he walked into his neighborhood, he thought it had all ended. he was about three meters away from his house before getting knocked over by a very familiar person.

when seungmin regained his focus, he looked up and found himself pinned onto the floor by none other than sojun. seungmin felt a harsh pain strike through his body, probably leaving a bruise on his body.

"bold of you to assume you could embarrass me and just get off like that." sojun asked, getting dangerously close to his face.

seungmin, being the claustrophobic person he was, panicked, and as instinct, he lifted his leg and knocked sojun off of him, soon rushing into the house and locking the door.

"that was a close one." seungmin sighed as he slid down the door and sat curled up.

"what happened?" seungmin's mom peeked her head from the kitchen, staring at the boy on the floor.

"well, lots of things happened today. i didn't realize jisung and felix lived in gang territories and you can probably guess from there." seungmin confessed, making his mom just continue without any shock at all. seungmin knew for a fact that she was well aware of his abilities and didn't need to worry too much. 

"hmm i'm shocked you didn't notice that before yesterday. i hope you didn't let anyone touch you cause i'm pretty sure you are well prepared for that." seungmin's mom reminded as she continued to cook dinner.

"of course, what was the point of convincing felix for hours to teach me how to fight if i didn't defend himself." seungmin sat down at the dining table and just placed his head on the table.

"true true. you know, you should hang out with your friend's more. it was nice and quiet." seungmin's mom pointed out, making herself laugh.

"woah thanks mom." seungmin lifted his head and have her a soft smile. he wished her a good bye and left for his room on the second floor. 

seungmin shoved his hand in his pocket, pulling out his phone which opened up to hyunjin's contact. as promised, seungmin had texted hyunjin about his safe arrival. this made seungmin realize how much fun he had that day.

maybe he should go more often.

I'm watching my friend do basketball tryouts >v< it's actually fun because I get to observe everyone and tell them their strengths and weaknesses! Of course some may not be accurate but I'm trying!
