"hey seungmin, wake up." hyunjin shook seungmin carefully, almost exactly after hyunjin himself had awoken.
10:42 am
after not being able to wake seungmin up, he sat himself on the couch to sleep once again to realize that he was given a blanket during the night. just on time, the door opened revealing a nurse.
"oh you're awake hyunjin. i gave you the blanket since you stayed the night." the nurse said before tending to seungmin's condition.
"didn't realize you were here." hyunjin stared at his past gang member who left for family purposes. as a rule, she promised to never spill any secrets about them at all. "i take that you didn't say anything?"
minji, the nurse, shook her head. "why would i? i wouldn't reveal my secent family like that." she said, showcasing a weak smile.
"the second family that you had left." hyunjin whispered clearly, obviously still hurt by her. as a leader, any member leaving seemed like a death for him. he cared for everyone, making sure they were in perfect condition, even taking it far enough to raise some members. he absolutely hated the memory of the departure of his members, he completely despised it.
breaking the silence, minji started a conversation. "is he your boyfriend?" she asked, watching the leader freak out and began making a confused facial expression.
"w-what? n-no he's not my boyfriend." he responded, making minji laugh. she had always like the way hyunjin spoke when he was nervous.
"i always knew there was some gay in you." minji laughed even harder, "the other guys would always say you were just as gay as them!"
hyunjin just stared, fighting against a smile, "you should come visit the gang. everyone, especially siwoo, misses you dearly."
"i most definitely will! speaking of siwoo, how is he doing?" minji asked, sitting down at another chair.
"siwoo has grown up so much! we can't even baby him anymore because he has abs!" hyunjin said, in a louder tone, faking tears about the growth of the boy he considered his own little brother.
"what? he has abs? i need to see him asap!" minji giggled, clapping softly. the first clap seemed to shake seungmin a bit, but the other two has just assumed it was just a movement in his sleep.
"he wouldn't mind at all, he really wants to see you." hyunjin frowned, remembering the exact words siwoo had said the night minji left.
"i really want to see her hyunjin... i miss her. she saved me."
"what do you mean?"
"she brought me here. away from my abusive parents. she's basically my family, but she left..."
"siwoo... you have us now. she'll be back, i know she'll come back. i'll find her and tell her to come visit you."
"yeah.. let's hope she'll come and visit."
Seungmin could tell this girl meant a lot to Hyunjin's gang. He smiled. He sat up, touching the bandage on his neck.
by the time they had finished his conversation, seungmin realized that the nurse meant a lot to hyunjin's gang, making him smile lightly. he sat up from his bed, holding onto his neck like a zombie, making the two slightly scared.
"y'all can go visit this siwoo person. i'll be fine here." seungmin smiled, his heart aching by the way both hyunjin and minji looked at him.
"there's no rush really. let me check up on you first." minji just made sure everything was alright while also replacing his bandage. he had gotten stitches the day before, and he was all ready to leave.
"woah... you heal faster than a lot of other patients." minji said in joy, "you can leave now. let's all see siwoo together!"
hyunjin smiled, looking at seungmin and receiving a smile back. they spent most of the day signing paper work for seungmin to be depart, and when they left the hospital, they were filled with laughter and giggles.
they made their way towards the gang hangout but little did they know, their night was about to be ruined.
