I stood gawking at the giant Eater!
" we r soooo screwed..."
Cayde managed to get out, I slowly reached for my gun then-
" That won't be necessary... "
Eris stood beside the monster and slowly descended the stairs...
" U know what I never understood is why people favoredu more then me..."
I sighed and Cayde pulled out his gun aiming it at her head.
" Easy there lover boy!"
With one swipe of her hand Cayde went flying into a wall behind him, groaning her dropped his gun to the floor and the sound echoed through the room.
I wanted to move, to help him... to save him... but I couldn't! I couldn't even turn around!
" That's better... "
" What do u mean I was favored?"
She laughed and it sent chills down my spine...
" ur family (Y/N)? Don't u remember?"
Eris had the hint of a smile play on her lips, I felt my legs shake... family?
" WHAT DO U KNOW ABOUT THEM?!"
Eris laughed, but I heard some stirring behind me...
" Don't *cough cough* listen to her (Y/N)!"
I turned back to Eris,
" Oh u know... ur parents! Lovely people really! Well in their time they were- oh and so was ur little sister!"
I choked trying to breath in some air at that last part-
" S-sister?"
" Hmmm... oh right! Of course u won't remember! Well like any other child! U moved out of ur home when U became twenty... u were 24 when the collapse began! Ur parents... bless them, had tried to get ur sister to safety but- *sigh* to no avail... but...."
She looked at me her grin spreading across her face!
" U- u were just so desperate to save her... it's so pathetic really! U did manage to find her... but did u save her? No!"
I crumbled to my knees...
" U COULDNT SAVE HER! U COULDNT PROTECT HER! U WERE TO SLOW AND WEAK AND SCARED!! And the worse part is in ur efforts u were killed too! BUT THANK THE TRAVELERBECAUSE HE BROUGHT U BACK! Not ur little sister...
" STOP IT!"
Cayde yelled... his body was still on the ground as he tried to stand up...
"finish them..."
HIVE started pouring out the side rooms, they jumped from the walls and crawled out the ground... but I Couldn't Move...

Caydes POV

I pushed off the ground... just in time to see HIVE bursting out of every space! (Y/N)! I called to her but she didn't move... she didn't even turn around...
" (Y/N)!"
I sprinted towards her shooting some thrails as I went and grabbed her by the waist trying to pull her along with me...
" THIS IS NOT HOW I WANTED TODAY TO GO!"
I yelled to myself as I sprinted back through the tunnels!
" Ila! (Caydes ghosts name! I made it up ok?) little light please!"
Ila floated out and shone a bright light, I turned around gently dropping (Y/N) to the ground and the Thrails fell back! There eyes not ready for the sudden light, I grabbed my golden pistol! Feeling the light course through me and shot them! One Two Three!
HIVE after HIVE crumbled to dust! And soon the rest retreated! I grabbed (Y/N) once again and sprinted for the ship! Once inside I jumped to hyper speed! Wanting to get back to the tower ASAP!
" Cayde..?"
I heard a small voice behind me... (Y/N)... I turned around and sat down next to her...
" d-do u think what she said was true... about my sister..?"
I sighed...
" Maybe the little bit about ur family is true! But how could she have known if u hadn't been able to save them? How did she know if u were even aware ur sister was in danger?"
She nodded her head and blinked back small tears. I rapped my arms around her and she hurried her face in my chest... as we cruised through space together I couldn't help but wonder... That maybe Just maybe Me and (Y/N) knew each other... Back before the collapse...

A/N: HELLO! So I've been struggling for a story line for book 2... I have the basic structure but it's a little tricky! So I'm sorry if these r short or take a while to come out! I want them to be as good as possible go u guys!
