~ Sooyun's P.O.V ~
My fingers traced over the aesthetic, shiny grey wallpaper which matched the souvenirs that were neatly placed on glass tables along the hallway. From what I can see, I'm pretty sure they hire several maids to clean this entire place because I couldn't spot a smear of dust anywhere.
As I was admiring the area which screamed expensive, a loud thud echoed though the hallway from where I assume it was behind the huge door ahead. I flinched, stumbling back; but my feet did its work and set steps forward, raising my curiosity.
"You did a huge mistake trying to cover up our death as an accident, Mr Jeon. You did a really really huge mistake. I could've confronted you in a brutal way if I wanted to but I didn't do that. Why? Then what's the difference between you and me? So, stay safe for your son. Your son, Jeon Jungkook is a tough man but has a soft spot in his heart for his parents. He doesn't want to see you both suffer, doesn't he? But that doesn't mean I would back out from the grudge I'm holding, Mr Jeon. See you soon. Very soon", my dad scrowled, opening the door; finding his sobbing daughter.
"Darling, were you listening to us this e-entire time?", my eyes trailed up to his level and a tear found its way out before I spun on my heels and left that place.
"Can I t-talk to you?", I called out for Yoongi with a trembling voice only for him to drop his cards and rush towards me. "Sooyun, why are you crying?"
"Oppa~", he engulfed me in a hug as my voice broke letting out low shrieks of sniffles while the others stared at us; not moving an inch.
"Let's go to the kitchen. You can tell us what happened", Jimin held my hand and led me towards the kitchen followed by Yoongi and Taehyung. The others decided to stay back for me to not feel suffocated with many people around me.
I explained them what I came across and how I felt, standing there as if my blood circulation abruptly stopped. The scene of Jungkook's parents and mine, blaming each other for what happened years ago gave me anxiety. I was horrified that the simple revenge they had, had lead to the worst case scenario.
"I-I just left"
"You happened to come across the truth, Sooyun. We need to learn how to be strong at times like this. It was not easy for both us either to come together with our family again. Guess how it would've been for our parents to stay away from their only both children. It would've hurt like hell but I wouldn't take ones side in this case. Jungkook's parents would have another point of view and certainly we aren't someone to judge what's going on. Let's just wait until the truth is unleashed but what I can reassure is that, Jungkook has nothing to do with any of this", Yoongi comforted me with a side hug.
"Here's my napkin. A Gucci one with my name engraved on it. You can have it but for now just wipe your tears with it", Taehyung extended an almost gold coloured cloth towards me. "Thanks"
"Guys? Everything alright? Mind if I ask what I missed?", Hobi chimed in from the enormous living room with a convinced smile. "I'll explain it to you all later, hyung", Taehyung replied reassuringly.
"And yeah, Yoongi. Your parents just left saying your grandma is home alone so they had to get back as early as possible", Jin cut the tension that was raising in the dining room.
"Jungkook, you have any idea where your parents would be then?", Namjoon queried at the troubled and concerned Jungkook. "They must've l-"
"Jungkook? Your mum and I just got a call for an urgently declared conference meeting. It would be just nice if we leave this very minute. We're in a hurry, so you could just give my personal assistant a call if you need something. See you all very soon. Take care and have fun, kids!", Jungkook's parents approached us with few lugagges in their hand and we watched them leave.
