Hey guys its been a while, but now that school and exams are over for me I can concentrate on this now.
It took a while to write this chapter because I struggled a bit with getting into the saiino part as I'm making big changes in their part. Sai's pov is quite challenging too.

Root Member 27,5:

My footsteps were near soundless on the wooden floors of Danzō's manor; my feet mimicking the sound of a cat's padded paws prowling towards a craven mouse. The difference was if I was a cat––I wasn’t sneaking up on a mouse but rather answering to the lion's summons.

If only the Allied shinobi Forces knew that the headquarters of the dark empire as they called it was little more than an old manor house built on stilts to rise above a flooded underwater cavern surrounded by ancient, towering mountains.

They likely thought it to be a gargantuan palace surrounded by hills and valleys of bones–the bones of all those we have slaughtered up to now to realise Lord Danzō 's far-reaching dreams of the future.

For our regime was not one of merciless and incorrigible dark but one of casted into shadow struggling to rise into the light. We were the roots of a new empire struggling to break through the soil and sprout.

Lord Danzō's objectives were to unite the world under one banner so that fairness and equality in the true essence of the word could be achieved. So that war may never be waged across the world ever again.

So that people may never be shunned as a result of their origins. We would all be one, so never again could the tempestuous temperaments of the rich and royal determine the fate of the poor.

This would be a war to end all wars. Even if our methods seem questionable and unjust. Our actions would be justifiable in the fruits of the future.

I brushed my pale fingers though my ink-coloured hair before knocking on the door and entering Lord  Danzō's study. I bowed slightly, and repeatedly shifted my weight from foot-to-foot, awaiting orders.

My nose wrinkled as the fusty smell of the his office greeted me.

The room was pragmatically furnished in lieu of quotidian opulence and decadence. Yet as a traditionalist, Danzō's office still retained a sense of traditional style. His guttural voice pulled from my thoughts and I finally looked over to where he was seated behind his neatly-arranged desk.

"I've called you here or a mission," he said– bluntly. Always
straight-forward and blunt that was Danzō Shimura.

I nodded.

He continued, "It seems that the Yamanaka princess of the Land Of Light still lives..."

My mind buzzed back to life, millions of thoughts and questions flying about like moths around a globe.
Lord Danzō doesn't make mistakes like this. Lord Danzō is infallible. So why?

As if reading the question in my  eyes–he responded...
Careful–I needed to be more cautious about letting my emotions slip around Lord Danzō .

"Oro-chi-ma-ru," he grounded out as if the very sound of the man's name disgusted him, "was assigned the task of assassinating that family. It seems that the traitor was unreliable in more ways than one..."
