Hinata:
I turned the brutally scared knob to the staircase leading to that tower...
A thousand stairs. That was how many steps stood between me and Naruto.I began to walk up the winding steps, trembling at each step. As Naruto's shrieks of agony cried out I increased my pace.
The stairs ended revealing a circular room and just beyond the room layed even more steps.
There were large cracks between the rough, rock bricks leading outside, welcoming in the snow and moonlight.
I stepped into the room as moonlight peered in, bathing the entire chamber in blues and silvers. It was bright enough that I could see clearly what was in the unlit room.
I gritted my teeth against the bitter cold, the wind howled through the cracks like wolves raging along the forest beyond.
The snow glittered over the floor, coating my boots making my toes curl. I made my way across the room only to I stop midway, as my attention snagged on the mirrors gilded to every surface in the room albeit the floors and the ceilings.
I forced myself to take a step forward.
Another.
Then another.
The mirrors were black as night-yet wholly clear.
I stopped three paces away from the largest mirror gazing at my reflection or rather the absence of it.
Everything else in the room was reflected within it except for me.
I was transfixed in in front of that mirror. I spun on my heel to gaze into every mirror in the chamber.
They showed me nothing.
I scanned the mirrors for any signs of something but there was nothing.
I listened intently if I could hear Naruto's screams but there was only a deafening silence. Even the the wind which howled through the trees fell silent.
The snow around me had stopped falling and it was as if I was transfixed within this moment. Each snowflake flickered like a star as it fefracted the light.
In this moment I felt a mountain being lifted off my shoulders.
This moment would have been precious-beautiful even were it not for the shivers that had ran down my spine as I saw something stalk past me within my perferal vision.
If I hadn't felt its icy breath tingle the hairs on my neck.
"Hello?" I whispered.
There was nothing.
My hands burned with cold.
Up close, the surface of the mirrors were
like a gray, calm sea. Undisturbed. Slumbering.
But in its upper corner-movement caught my eyes.
No-not movement in the mirror.
Behind me.
I was not alone.
I turned around finally finding the strength to move.
A girl with midnight black hair stood before me. I knew those eyes...eyes the colour of pearl and I knew that face. It was my face.
