New semester.

New college.

New classmates.

New teachers.

Same old feelings.

It had been two weeks since I stalked Pete at the fast food and left him dumbfounded after I gave him a peck and left.

The days following that became hectic since it was almost the end of the semester. I got caught up with schoolworks that I wasn't able to check on him after that.

Right after the semester ended, the faculty Pete belonged to traveled to Huan Hin for a benchmarking/seminar and stayed there for a week.

I was tempted to call him, or even sent him a text, but I was reminded of how he went sulking about my one week absence. That was why I had the idea to prolonged my absence. Specially after the stunt I made at the fast food. Absence makes the heart grew fonder, wasn't it?

When Pete talked me into finally letting him off, I was coaxed and finally agreed. I didn't like the idea, but that time, when I saw how Pete was resigned, I felt guilty. That was why I sort of agreed. Only to realize later on, that it wasn't really something I would want.

It wasn't true that my father held me off after I drove him to the province. He already had a subordinate to drive him back. It was I who decided on staying. I needed time to sort my feelings for Pete out.

It was evident that I liked him. But after that week, I realized that I liked him more. Enough to pursue him even after I agreed to stay away from him.

When I came back after a week of hiatus, I tried avoiding Pete and as much as possible be casual with him, just to let him see that I was trying. God knows how hard it was for me. But I tried to endure it. I liked football, but it wasn't something I would love to do on a regular basis. But when I realized how the field was a good vantage point for me to see Pete regularly without being a creep, I finally gave in to Jek's persuasion.

I can't decide whether it was a good or bad idea tho, because seeing Pete from afar, made me miss him even more.

That afternoon, I didn't see Pete. I decided to go home because of disappointment when Jek pulled me for dinner. I was hesitant first, but the asshole was persistent. I ended up going and saw Pete with his ex at the parking lot.

I didn't know what I felt back then, I had the impulse to go and grab Pete away from the jerk. But I realized, I had no right. I went inside the mall trying to focus on dinner but my thoughts kept pulling me towards Pete.

I ended up borrowing Jek's car and tried to stalk after Pete. I had been driving for some time when I gave up finding him. I passed by the fast food chain and decided to stay there for awhile when my heart suddenly beat liked crazy. I looked around and saw Pete grouchingly stared at a chicken bucket on one corner.

I counted to twenty before I approached him. I didn't know what to say. I just blurted out the first thing that came to mind. And I was glad I did. Now, I wouldn't have him make me wait for him no more.

This semester, I only had three subjects left on my load but sadly, it was no longer at Pete's college. I was enrolled at the Humanities and Social Sciences, located in a building which was a block away from Pete's. Since I decided to pursue Pete whether he liked it or not, I needed to walk that block regularly if that meant I can see Pete.

"Now what?!? We can't meet with Prof. Vachiravit with this problem, can we?"

I was about to turn to a corner when I heard the name from two student's standing on the side of the corridor. The taller girl, looked so stressed. The shorter one, looked no better.

"Don't stress me with that fact, than I'm already am! I didn't know why, of all the time, Sung decided to get his nose fixed now!"

Both girls were cursing Sung, blessed his soul wherever he was, because the girls were obviously furious.

"Can't we just find another one?"

"Well, unfortunately, Sung, as stupid as he is, he's musical scoring, is the only thing that contents Prof. Vachiravit by far."

I heard another round of cursing.

"What if we just hire a professional one!?!"

The short girl looked at the tall girl as if she sprouted shvts out her mouth.

"Don't you think Prof. won't realize it? Are you seriously getting us all killed!?!"

Yet another cursing episode.

"Now, what!?! We need to stage this play on the Christmas festival which is less than a month from now, yesterday, Prof. Vachiravit specially reminded me to get everything in order for this afternoon's rehearsal. We're doomed!"

I cleared my throat to get the girl's attention. I succeeded. Both of them looked at me, beaming.

"I'm sorry to interrupt you ladies, but, did I hear it correctly, you needed some one to score your play's music?"

Both girls nodded at the same time.

"Yes, P! We badly needed one, do you happen to know any?!"

I gave them my sweetest smile.

"You might just be talking to him right now."

The girls mirrored my smile.

How can fate be this kind?

Just as I was thinking of ways to get closer to Pete, an opportunity presented it self.

How cool was that?

Now, musical scoring can't be that bad.

Right?

A/N

I seriously don't know what's happening. Gotta try and see how musical scoring goes for the next chapter. Till then! 😘
