11. Coffee and Kiss(es)

I was down on to the last portfolio I was checking when a tap on my shoulder grabbed my attention.

I looked up to see Earn smiling, extending a to go cup of the same coffee he gave me earlier. I checked on my watch. He was out for almost half an hour. It was almost time for my next class.

"Sorry. The line was too long."

Earn might had read my mind as he explained sheepishly.

"Really?" Or was it because you had a coffee date with your campus moon just then.

I didn't voice my obviously out of line question but said a curt thank you instead. I suddenly felt  like not having coffee anymore so I deposited the cup down my table.

"How much do I owe you?"

I asked Earn as I perused my bag for my wallet.

"You owe me your heart."

I rolled my eyes at Earn. Two flirting buddies in the morning. The jerk had guts.

"Not today, Earn."

I shook my head and went on to gather the things I needed for my next class.

"Then when?"

I was startled when Earn suddenly caged me with his two hands leaning on either sides of my cubicle.

I looked up directly to where the CCTV was. Thankfully, only the aisle to the door was being monitored at the moment because the ones from the corners short circuited last time.

"What the hell are you doing!?!"

I meant to shout. But my voice came in a shaky hoarse whisper.

"Don't worry, I've checked on the area, the coast is clear. We can make out as much as we want."

What the fvck!?! Was this guy really trying to render me jobless?

Although that time of the day, It was only Pau who was supposed to be at the office but then, even she, was nowhere to be found.

"Get off me! I'm heading to class. You should too!"

Earn seemed to not hear what I said. Instead, he leaned closer to me. His face only some inches away from mine.

"Earn, I'm warning you! Stop it! We're at the faculty room you asshole!"

Earn seemed to get what I said. He stopped midway and went on with his full on chesire cat smile.

"So,  I can do it as long as it's not here!?!"

What? This pervert!

"What!?! No! You can't do it ever again."

I shook my head forcefully, to make a point.

"You said that last time too, but look where we are now!"

That and Earn took my mouth to his.

Ahh. This is annoying!

Why am I even kissing him back!?!

I was brought back by an overly orchestrated throat clearing courtesy of Pau who was standing by the door with a suggestive grin.

Both Earn and I stood up straight.

"Good Morning, Professor!"

Earn waiid at Pau as if we were not caught making out. Pau waiid back. Still with her lascivious grin.

"I was just delivering the coffee, Professor  Vachiravit asked for."

The asshole was so calm while I was sweating even though we were inside a fully airconditioned room.

"You can go now." I told Pete instead.

The asshole smiled and waiid at the both of us before leaving.

I tried to organize my already organized cubicle just to avoid Pau.

But failed.

"So, does coffee delivery include
a hot make out session already, nowadays!?!"

I looked at her. Feigning nonchalance.

Damn Earn!

"Hmm?"

Pau grinned some more.

"You're a lot of things Pete, but you're not a liar and besides, look at your swollen lips. That good huh!?!"

Fvck! Swollen already? The kiss just lasted for like a second.

"I don't know what you're talking about, Pau. You're blabbering again. I'm late for my next class, so gotta go ahead."

I almost run for the door that I almost missed Pau's all knowing smile and sarcastic wave.

It was 3 o'clock when I went back to the faculty room. After my class earlier, I had lunch and a short conference with my teaching assistant and I was adamant to avoid Pau, thus the delayed appearance when, a familiar to go cup landed on my table.

I was greeted by Pau's sweetest smile.

"You left it earlier but I didn't have the heart to throw it away so I kept it. I already microwaved it for you."

I gingerly nodded.

"Uhm. Thanks?"

"Oh, don't mention it."

Pau even playfully patted my arm that's holding the cup now.

"Anyway, I kinda messed the cup up so the message on it got kind of blurry, but don't worry, I snapped it before hand, I already lined the picture to you. You can  check it now."

I was not feeling good about how nice Pau was at that moment. Unconsciously, I took a sip of the coffee and checked on my line.

"Hot coffee. But not as hot as the past nights we had."

I literally spat the coffee all over my phone.

The fvck did Earn do again! Asshole!

I looked at a chinky eyed Pau.

"Now, spit it again, you slutty, Vachiravit!"

Heavens, I thought I needed more than just caffeine.
