"Okay, that's it! You've annoyed  me already, playtime's over, you can go now!"

I heard Pete said as he dismissed me and went straight to the music equipment jabbing buttons I was not really sure what to call.

I really found this situation amusing. Why, I knew I missed Pete, but I wasn't aware it was this bad. I wanted to push him under me and kissed him like mad but I had to stop myself.

I needed him to believe me and my intentions and that it wasn't just sex I was after.

"Contrary to what you thought. I'm here to see you because I missed you."

True.

I could have texted him or visited him at his place but I needed him to have a time all to himself before I hit on him with all my might. Because this time, I was not letting him go away.

"Earn. This is serious okay, this play may not look as grand to you but we---I need to pull this off, so please, just..."

Pete looked so defeated. So cute.

"Hey, trust me, I'm here to help. Pleng gave me this already."

I waved the cue card for the each music on the script while smiling at him.

"So you know what music to play when and on what scene?"

I nodded.

"And you know how to operate this thing?"

I nodded again. I had radio brodcasting as one of my elective back in my sophomore year.

I saw Pete's face turned sour.

"So why the hell were you playing the  wrong stuff earlier?"

I snickered at him.

"I was trying to get you to come and see me."

He sighed in exasperation.

"I just want to help your play, really. And well, invite you to dinner in person."

Pete tugged at his hair.

"Oiiii, Earn! I have so much on my plate right now, so many things to do! I don't need you to stress me any further!"

I was trying to pacify him.

"Hey, calm down okay. What if, maybe I was the one you needed to get off, you know!"

I bit my tongue at the same time Pete glared at me. Wrong choice of word.

"Hey, I didn't mean it that way! Shvt! Oiii, Pete, why do I seem to always say the wrong things to you!"

This time, it was I who tugged at my hair in exasperation.

I stopped when I heard Pete chuckled.

I stared at him.

"You're driving me crazy, do you know that?"

I scratched my head.

"Errr--- is it --- a good thing or a bad thing?"

Pete shook his head.

He raised the cue card to me.

"Do you really understand how this works?"

I nodded. He did too.

"How about this stuff, do you know how this works too?"

I nodded and explained about my radio broadcasting backgrounds.

"Okay, good."

He paused, contemplating.

"Are you sure you want to be in? The practice is 3 times a week---MWF-- at who knows how many hours, here--- which is a block away from your college. Do you think you can handle that?"

My face lit up.

"Are you really allowing me to do this, like whole heartedly?"

Pete rolled his eyes.

"You seemed so happy!"

I laughed.

"I am! That was easy! I mean, you, agreeing."

Pete shook his head.

"You expected me to disagree?"

I smiled and shrugged.

"At this rate, we need all the help we can get. I can't be choosy."

I nodded.

"Right. Besides, I'm the best choice."

I moved my brows up and down at him.

"Whatever!"

Pete headed for the door.

"When will the dinner be?"

I furrowed my brows at him then slowly smiled when I realized what he just said.

I broke into a full on smile.

"I'll text you the details."

Pete nodded before closing the door to the booth.

At the same time, the cage opened and left out all the butterflies.

What am I, fifteen?

I shook my head with a smile.

My heart was so full.

A/N

Okay, so in all of my stories, I don't have drafts, I write whatever comes popping out my head real time. So, if you would notice, this is why some chapters are really off.

Just sharing. 😅

Anyway, thanks for still staying.
