Dear Senpai

Letter 8

Dear Taki-senpai,

The first time we met was during the chant.

The second time was during the birthday of my cousin.

We got to talk a lot often during that time.
Though you had a crush that time and it was my classmate. (And best friend)

There was brief silence after that birthday celebration.

Then the spark returned when we were both participating a contest of talents.

You had a different partner but during practice we got to talk a lot.

Whenever you practiced with your partner I noticed that you kept stealing a glance towards me.

It was kinda. . . How do I say it,
Weird.
But it's not like I didn't like it.

When we went to cafeteria you refused to treat your partner and treated me instead.

I never actually thought you'd agree to my request.

An incident happened which made me curious of your actions.

I was sleeping that time.
You and your friends were talking with each other.

"She reminds of somebody I used to know."

I was a little bit shocked by that statement but I dunno a slight tinge of confusion was mixed with my thoughts.

So I consulted my best friend about what he said.

She told me that maybe, he was just filling the hole left in his heart after their breakup.

So I left it at just that.

But since that day, you wouldn't let me out of your sight.

Wherever I was, you were always there.

You even rejected the offer you're friends gave you.

Just because I said I couldn't come.

After that we had all spent the day together.

Then it was the time of our contest.

A facilitator was telling us to draw lots.

When it was my turn to draw, I got the number 3.
(Which meant I was the 3rd to perform)

Then it was your turn, and coincidentally you got 3rd too.

By then I thought Is this destiny?

Are the heavens playing tricks on me perhaps?

That contest really took a long time.
I was starting to get sleepy. (Remind me once again why I keep falling asleep.)

You told me that I could just fall asleep because you'll wake me up when the show starts.

We ate dinner together.

When you waved goodbye from the taxi when everything was over I was a bit sad.

I knew once the event was over we would part ways and start talking less.

I would really miss the two of you.

I hope I get a chance to get close to you again.

Even though I don't get to be online often.

Once I read that message.
I'll be faster than the speed of sound.

PS: Also please don't keep taking absences at school.
It leaves me wondering on what you might be doing.
