Kara just couldn't. This funeral was too much.
Eliza dying in the car crash was too much.
Kara looked around at her friends and family, all looking sad as they watched the coffin go into the ground. Why do all my parents die? She thought to herself. She felt a tear slip down her cheek, then many at once. She looked to the ground, quietly sobbing. She heard Alex crying, too.

Kara puked up the popcorn she had just eaten a minute ago. Why am I puking?? MonEl held her hair in a ponytail for her, trying to be as helpful as he could.
"Okay, I think I'm done." Kara said, standing up and wiping her mouth with a washcloth. "What the heck just happened?" She looked up at her boyfriend, who shrugged. He was confused as well.
"Maybe we should see Alex about it. I mean, it's almost like you have the symptoms of pregnancy or something." MonEl joked. He smiled, but Kara did not.
"MonEl?" She said, quietly. "I think I am pregnant." She stared at him, waiting for an answer. He just stared at her. "Seriously, I think I may be!" Kara started to tear up. MonEl pulled her into a hug.
"Want me to go buy you a pregnancy test?" He asked. He let go of her, and she looked up at him, nodding. "Okay. I'll be back." He kissed her forehead, and left the bathroom. Kara sat down on the closed toilet lid, and let a tear escape and run down her cheek.

Kara cozied up on the sofa in her loft and everything felt better for a little while. MonEl had been gone for ten minutes, and she had been waiting anxiously. What would Eliza tell me? She tried thinking of ways to calm down. Eliza was always the best at comforting people. So, since Eliza wasn't here, Kara decided to turn to Alex. She had just pulled up the messages app on her phone when the front door swung open.
"Babe, I'm back!" MonEl said. He shut the door behind him, and then went over to the kitchen counter and set a small bag from Walmart down on it.
