Kara and MonEl walked throughout the empty DEO, looking for Alex. It was 12 AM, the time Alex expected them to be there. It was late and they were tired. Soon, the two spotted a light on in the med bay, and decided it must be Alex. Holding hands, they opened the door, and smiled. It was, and she was fiddling with some kind of large machine.
"Alex, what's... what's all this?" Kara looked around the med bay. She had been in it many times before, but had never seen this machine.
"It's to reveal the baby's gender. And before you ask, yes I know what I'm doing! I went to medical school." Alex patted her hand on the bed that was in the room. "Hop on, and lift up your shirt." Kara obeyed her older sister. She climbed on the bed, and lifted up her shirt revealing her stomach. MonEl sat in a chair beside her. Suddenly without a warning, Alex rubbed cold green goo all over Kara's stomach.
"Oh, that is freezing!" Kara looked at Alex, who was spreading it out. "Could've given me a warning!" Alex and MonEl both giggled. Then Alex started rubbing a smaller part of the machine on Kara's belly.
"Okay, Kara. You're going to have..." a few moments passed. Apparently, Alex had waited until the DEO was empty to get out a giant ultrasound machine.
"You're going to have a girl!" Alex said, excitement in her voice. MonEl clapped his hands together.
"Yes! Kara, did ya hear that?" He squeezed Kara's hand.
Kara smiled. "Oh my god!" For some reason, she started loving the baby in her belly more now that she knew the gender. And she could definitely tell MonEl was excited.
As Kara stood up, MonEl pulled her close to him and gave her a kiss. "Do you have any name ideas at yet?" He asked her. She nodded, and smiled.
"Eliza, maybe." She looked at Alex who was smiling, and crying tears of joy. She quickly wiped her tears though. Kara looked up at MonEl who nodded.

It was game night at Kara's apartment. She had decided to tell everyone there. She and MonEl were preparing snacks as they talked about random stuff.
Soon enough, the doorbell rang. Kara was nervous. Alex, Maggie, Sam, Ruby, Lena, Jonn, James, and Winn all walked into Kara's apartment. Kara knew that if she didn't tell everyone, Alex would for her.
Everyone found a spot in the living room and sat down. MonEl asked what game they should play, and everyone had suggestions. Winn suggested Monopoly, but before anyone else could suggest anything Kara stood up from her seat, holding her hands together nervously. She looked around the room at everyone. They all looked at her confused aside from Alex and MonEl, who smiled as if to let her know that it would be okay.
"Um, sorry to interrupt, but I have an announcement to make." She gulped, then cleared her throat. Ruby looked at her, curiosity all over her face. And Jonn looked like he knew what was going on.
"So.. as you all know, I've been... uh, I'm pregnant. And it's a girl." As soon as the words flew out, she felt so much relief. Everyone clapped and said congratulations.
"I knew it! I just wish you wouldn't sneak in the DEO at midnight to find out the gender." Jonn said with a smile. Kara gasped.
"I forgot you could read minds." She rolled her eyes at herself, and everyone laughed.
The rest of the night was spent playing Monopoly as Winn suggested, and lots of discussion about the baby such as names, baby showers, the due date...
The name had been confirmed as Eliza Anne Danvers, there would we no baby shower, (too much hassle in Kara's opinion) and the due date would most likely be the end of October or beginning of November.
