Kara quietly knocked on Alex's apartment door. No answer. She knocked again, this time more violent, but careful not to break the door with her strength.
She heard footsteps, and the door unlocked then swung open. Alex's was in pajamas. Kara looked past her sister and saw Maggie, Alex's girlfriend, sitting on the sofa eating out of a bag of Goldfish crackers.
"Alex, um..." Kara said. It was the day after she found out that she was indeed pregnant. "Can I talk to you?" Alex frowned.
"You sound worried, come in." Alex stepped aside, letting Kara in her loft. Maggie smiled at Kara, who smiled back. "So, whats the matter, sis?" Alex asked Kara.
Kara looked at Maggie, deciding wether or not she should tell Alex in front of her. After a few minutes though, she decided that she would.
"Maggie, I guess I'll tell you too. Just keep it a secret." Kara said, sitting down in a comfy chair besides the sofa. Alex sat back down next to Maggie. "I'm... pregnant. It's MonEl's."

"Oh, please! We have to find a way to tell them soon." Alex said to Kara over dinner. They were eating mashed potatoes, turkey, and peas. "Maggie can barely keep her mouth shut!"
"Uh..." Kara shoved a forkful of potatoes in her mouth, then sat back in her chair. "I guess I'll tell everyone soon." Alex smiled at her sister. For the past month she had been nagging Kara to tell her friends and family about the baby.
"I just... Maybe... I want to find out the gender first." Kara said. "And find a name, maybe." She looked across the table at MonEl, who was eating with them as well. He smiled and nodded, his mouth full of food.
"Alright, that sounds fine." Alex said.
"Where should I schedule an appointment?" Kara asked, looking from Alex to MonEl. "I've never been to a doctor."
MonEl shrugged, and Alex sighed.
"You can't go to a doctor, Kara. They'll know you're an alien."
"Oh yeah." She sighed as well. Then, Alex got a strange look on her face.
"Kara, MonEl, I have an idea. Meet me at the DEO, tonight at 12." She stood up, leaving her plate empty. "Me and Maggie are going to a movie, We'll be out by ten. I expect you guys to be at the DEO by 12." Alex smiled and left Kara's apartment.
I wonder what that girl has planned.
