dear james,

that prank on snape was absolutely
wicked.
i'm not sure how you managed to get the colour changing potion to his shampoo, (i'm surprised he even owns shampoo) but you and the other marauders are pure geniuses.
he definetly had it coming when he called
lillian a "mudblood"...
i'm muggle born as well,
but it doesn't bother me much.
lillian on the other hand...
it makes her feel ruddy awful,
but i guess some words really can hurt people.
i'll write again.
hopefully these letters don't annoy you.
i would stop if i knew.

love, a muggle born girl who despised severus snape.

p.s. i have a prank planned...
i'm planning on going through with it tonight, i just have to figure out how to get into the slytherin dungeons without anyone knowing... i'll figure it out.
i'm sure you'll hear about my brilliant idea by the time you get this letter...

just as james read the last sentence, he heard the doors to the great hall slam against the walls.

in came severus snape, his neon pink hair (neon pink thanks to remus lupin's colour changing hair potion) was now trailing behind him on the floor it was so long.

his robes, as well as every other article of clothing the boy had on his body, even his shoes, were ruby red. his face greatly resembled his clothes he was so angry.

james tipped his head back and laughed. "red" as he had come to call his secret admirer, had really outdone herself.

james was laughing so hard he completely missed the rather smug look on rose evans' face.

"potter!" severus called over to james, angry beyond measure.

"yes, snivellus?" james question the ridiculous looking boy innocently with a raised brow.

"don't play saint, potter," snape spat with venom, "i know you're responsible for this."

"as much as i would love to take credit for this brilliant prank, it pains me to say that this was not my doing." james spoke with a heavy sigh.

"oi snotball!" rose yelled out, grabbing snape's attention as well as most everyone who was looking at snape, taunting and laughing, "that is truly a lovely colour. it's my personal favourite." the girl spoke with a charming and innocent smile as she gathered her bookbag and gracefully walked through the doors of the great hall, her strawberry blonde hair swishing out after her.

rose evans was something else... james thought with a shake of his head and a smile gracing his lips.
