part two...

"shall we?"

"i- i mean i guess so..." rose answered, wide eyed and shocked.

james just chuckled as he placed a hand on the small of her back, guiding her toward the door.

upon entering the room, rose noticed it was large, square, and completely empty. The only thing in the room was rose herself, and james, his arm still wrapped securely around her frame while an excited grin painted his features.

rose looked up at james with a confused expression that the boy, quite frankly, found adorable.

"this, my dearest red, is what I have come to call, the room of requirement!" james spoke, arms outstretched in a presentation like way, that same silly grin on his face.

with a chuckle, rose asked; "and what, exactly, does this 'room of requirement' do my dearest jameson?"

sliding his arm back around her, he answered; "it presents you with anything you may require." His hand outstretched before the pair as he slid it across the air.

"anything?" rose asked with a skeptic raise of her eyebrow.

"anything."

closing her emerald green eyes, rose thought about what she required in that moment, and what was it she required you may ask?

"wow. thank you, red, really. yeah, that's lovely." james sarcastically spoke with a huff.

rose opened her eyes to see an exact replica of what she was thinking; a big banner that read "james potter is a wanker"

with a loud laugh rose exclaimed, "oh, this is bloody brilliant! your turn james, what do you want?" The strawberry blonde said along with a few excited jumps.

winding both arms around her waist, james responded, "i already have everything i could ever want."

rose scoffed and rolled her eyes, "wow... could you be any more tacky?"

"i could try." james answered as he closed his eyes.

sunflower petals suddenly started falling from the ceiling and a small table appeared by the stained glass window, a record player sitting atop it.

a song began to fill the vast space of the room as james opened his eyes with a smile.

"here comes the sun (doo doo doo doo)."

"doo doo doo doo." james sang along with the song as he twirled rose around.

rose tilted her head back and laughed, james gazing admirably at her the whole while.

"little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter..."

"you know, this is my favourite song on this record." james told rose as the two danced like fools around the room.

"and why is that?" rose asked the hazel eyed boy curiously.

"because it reminds me of you." james said as he spun her around again.

"what do you mean?" rose asked james with a giggle.

"merlin, where do i even start?" james began while the pair swayed to the music, "i was in a dark place for so long, that i didn't even realise how bad off i was until you started writing to me. and then, as silly as it sounds, i started to feel... important. you made me feel valued," the two had stopped swaying to the music at this point, and they stood staring into each other's eyes as james poured his heart out to rose, "and now, i'm happier than i have ever been in my life," the boy said as he cupped rose's face with his right hand, the girl leaning into his touch, "i love you rose evans. so much..." james stroked her cheekbone with the pad of his thumb before drawing in a shaky breath, and releasing her to pull a black velvet box from his pocket.
