❝it is that possible❞The boys all stood around Joe's desk as they looked through the mirror to see Cassandra under a machine, entirely sedated.
"What are you seeing?" Brad asks, squinting to look at the computer clearly but he didn't understand anything on the screen.
"Shh," Joe waves his hands dismissively as he types on the computer rapidly. Joe worked better when there was no one around however the boys wanted to be in the room to see what the results were for the tests that Joe had run over the past few days.
Connor looks nervously over to Tristan. Connor knew that if he was wrong about Cassandra, he would get a lot of shit off of Brad for wasting their time, but equally he was ninety percent sure that he was right about Cassandra being the key to finding James.
"Are you almost done?" Brad asks, earning himself a steady glare from the man sat at the desk. Brad lets out an annoyed sigh before turning on his heels and going out of the room completely. He was impatient and the fact he wasn't being told what was going on was starting to wind him up.
Brad walks down the stairs all the way to the bottom floor and walks outside to let off some steam. He ventures into the woods, sparks flying off of his shoes as he starts to wind himself up more at the possibilities that could happen with these results.
He started to wonder if this was all useless and that James is actually dead and they're wasting they're time. He started to think that Cassandra wouldn't want to work with them. He thought that Cassandra knew what she was and she was lying. He thought that Cassandra could be working with the enemy. He tho—
A tree in front of him was on fire and he didn't even notice. It took only five seconds before the tree was entirely black and the leaves were all ashes that were falling on to the ground like black rain.
He lets out a weak sigh, falling to his knees. He hadn't had an outburst like this in so long, he had learnt to control his temper, but with everything catching up to him and feeling so real regarding Cassandra, he had so much on his mind.
He runs his hand through his hairs, his eyes tired and exhausted. He was about to rest against another tree but his phone started ringing and he picks it up, alarmed.
"Brad! Get here now!" Tristan yells through the phone before ending it swiftly. Brad gets up, his heart pounding. He didn't know why they wanted him so urgently unless he was going to get told off for setting a tree on fire.
He walked quickly through the tangled bushes and willow trees that shadowed away the house, making it invisible for people walking through the forest, and eventually he's up the stairs and into the attic.
Joe was still sat on his chair, finalising something on his computer but now Connor held Cassandra in his arms as she still felt half asleep, and needed a seat. Once she's sat down, Connor joins Tristan by Joe's computer.
