Operation: Squaring up

Objective: Protect the U.S. Senator

Squad Lead: Montagne

Squad: Scarecrow, Ash, Echo, Clash, Jager

Briefing: Team I need your help to square up a favor. The Santa Blanca Cartel has put a hit on a United States senator at a rally he's having in front of the Lincoln memorial be careful. Agent Karen Bowman called in a favor and now we're protecting him along with the secret service, I have mobilized the big guns. Scarecrow, Ash, and Jager will be blending in with the crowd. Montagne and Clash will be around the senator at all times, while Echo will be on his drone surveying the rooftops. Be careful team

Montagne POV

Washington D.C.

I was standing on the stage in front of the senators podium with Clash, shields in hand with secret service agents by the stairs to the stage as he gave his speech about the policies that didn't really affect any of us, it made me realize, Scarecrow was right politics are worthless. I was scanning the crowd for anything suspicious I was super nervous, this is my first mission leading and Scarecrow was watching, I've really come to respect him even though I don't know his name. I spotted Scarecrow, Ash, and Jager moving throughout the people sifting for anything out of order. "Check in." I commanded 

"Scarecrow, checking in all clear." 

"Ash, checking in crowded but all clear"

"Jager, all clear"

"Echo, I'm seeing some weird movement on the East side of the rally" 

I looked over and saw a man moving through the crowd towards the stage rather fast "Scarecrow and Ash, move to intercept. Jager keep your eyes out something's really off"

"On it." I spotted him moving towards them from one side and Ash moving from the other. They were just about to stop him, when I heard Echo shout over the coms "SNIPER NORTH."

I jumped in front of the senator just as a shot impacted my shield and the crowd scrambled. I then deployed my shield and looked at Clash as she was next to me with her shield deployed. "Mr. Senator with us, now." I shouted he ran up and looked to us in fear "Grab my right shoulder and Clash's left and stay behind our shield's we're getting you out of here." we slowly backed him off the stage to his secret service agents I looked at Clash "Escort him out of here now." I ordered then activated my com "Jager you're with them. Scarecrow get after him" she nodded and ran with the senator in the direction of his vehicle shield towards the North and as they got to the car Jager met up with them sidearm drawn as they got to the car. I analyzed the situation and saw Ash on top of the individual from earlier restraining him there was a pistol next to him that didn't look like Ash's I started to run towards him. "Everyone I need a status report." I said I heard the roar of Scarecrow's motorcycle as it sped away from the event.

"This is Scarecrow I'm in pursuit of the sniper."

"Echo here I'm tracking him he's currently running across the roof of the National Peace Institute. Wait He's stopped moving, he's just stood there." He reported confused. 

Scarecrow POV

I pulled up to the National Peace Institute and skidded my bike to a halt I grabbed my grapnel gun off of the bike and shot it up to the roof the line started retracting lifting me towards the roof when I heard Montagne over my coms "Scarecrow try and take him alive." I rolled my eyes "Orders received." 

I shot over the edge of the roof and saw my target he was just stood there with an almost glazed look in his eyes, something's not right. I stood ready for an attack "I've been waiting for you." he said with a smile on his face some. "I'm sorry do I know you?" I asked confused "No, but the nice lady asked me to give you a message." He said giddily as he pulled out a combat knife. "Who asked you to give me a message?"
