To be frank,
Or not to be?
Is that the question?Quite surely one cannot believe that I could be so curt,
But I can.
And only very few people are sure to understand
How cold and distant I can be.
Intimidating.Intimidating?
Perhaps.
But I know many men named Frank,
I could name them but they are one and the same,
List or name,
Frank.
Curt, but patient
Patient but not,
I'm not sure why I want the name,
Or perhaps it's rather a confirmation of my distant attitude,
Cold, detached,
Frank.I don't want to be cold, detached,
But surely I am Frank,
Who would you be, if not your name?
The cursory wrinkles on your palms,
The dip at the nape of your neck,
All the things making up your being,
What would you be, if not your name?Change your name to what you are,
Live your truth,
For with some, one must be
Frank.
