I considered love to be a tragedy
A ruse to fool the weak of heart
A lie dressed up in velvet robes
Destined to tear the universe apart
But darlin you've turned my world upside down
And caused a train wreck in my heart
Now I'm writing rusty villanelle and singing my heart out to Elvis, I'm smiling, humming and aimlessly dancing
Hell! I'm even watching the sunsets
All days seem to be the same
Some mornings I feel nothing while everything the next night I've got a thousand 11:11 wishes,
But no stars to call mine.
