Third person POV
It was a couple of days since Akira had been victimized to certain and painful visions that contextualized of her family feud situation. When she had woken up from the real like dream, Akira gave the gang a bit of a scare bolting up and falling off the horse. Everyone was in quite a panic of her state. Especially since they were worried that the trauma of everything occurring is still recent. Plus, being in Clarines which Akira cannot come to remember, puts her to sing along to a nervous melody.
Akira simply can't keep calm knowing that she has to blame herself for everything happening around her. That she murdered her brother twice, brought trouble for Obi and the others, burdened Chinodori with her weak and useless self, and just by existing. She wished that she was long dead before she had even been adopted into noble yet monstrous blood.
"... I killed him... I really did kill Shi and everyone...!" Akira whimper, clutching her head with wide and a bit insane looking eyes.
She sat alone in her room with a blanket sheet wrapped around herself to shield away inanimate objects from pointing their fingers at her. To make sure that she wasn't being talked of by the walls.
"I... I don't want to be here... N-no... no no no..."
She let out a shaky gasp.
"How can I live with myself...?!"
She wept loudly in constantly broken breaths.
"... I'm sorry...!"
Her nails dug past her hair and into the skin of her skull.
"I... I—... I don't deserve to be called a human!"
*Knock knock*
The silent screams of agonizing knots in her heart came to a stop as she looked up to the surroundings of the room. Still, her tears ran down and down. She sat there quietly and as still as a Russian doll decorated onto a shelf.
'... Why did someone have to come now...?' Akira drearily thought, her teeth gritted slightly as she walked over to the door with small and unbalanced steps. She wore a tired expression with heavy eyes before she opened the door.
"Hey there—... Akira?" Obi's cheeky grin slowly faded to a confused and baffled look. His eyes widen in upmost concern and softened.
"What is it...? Why are you here?" Akira muttered, not bothering to care about her dreadful and pitiful appearance.
Obi frowned, his watchful eyes never leaving her void like eyes. With a swift movement, he tightly embraced the smaller girl and snuggled his head into the crook of her neck. He snaked his arms gently around her torso and closes his eyes.
"......." Akira slowly felt his warmth transfer over to her, but her arms stayed limp to her sides.
Obi brought his left hand to Akira's head, gently pressing her skull into his chest for her to hear his heart beat and to tell her without words that he was there for her, loving her.
Over seconds to minutes to how still they stood in that one spot, Akira felt her eyes unwavering yet shaking with tears spilling out from its sockets. She didn't scream or shout, but spoke nothing of air with small movements of her lips. Her eyes screamed lifelessly yet screamed literature relating to her pain.
Quite a while passed by. Obi ended up sweeping Akira's feet off the ground with her in his arms. He escaped off to the herb garden knowing that the herbalists were working inside, providing a use of privacy for Akira to feel solace of no one witnessing her current state.
