Chapter 6 - Painful Memories

I entered the enormous bedroom of mines and saw everything covered mostly in blue, gold, white, and turquoise. I sighed heavily at how it matched my turquoise colored hair perfectly and oddly as if this room was set up for me for ages.

I removed at least my gloved arms and boots, flopping onto my new soft bed. The sheets were soft like silk clouds and the pillows were light and fluffy like fairy floss.

The room was so fancy that I grimaced with more memories flashing back one by one. My eyelids felt so heavy to the point where I slowly drifted to sleep, letting the darkness surround me unconsciously.

Flashback
'Ah, it's too early for breakfast... Why didn't I notice this until I took a stroll. I'm too tired this morning and my limbs are sore. Must of been because of the battle with... nee-san...'

I continued to walk down the paved stone path that crossed with a miniature rose bush garden partnered with lilies. I whiffed in the scent of the lovely flowers as the lilies helped reduce the strong smell of roses.

Although my family's flower was symbolized of a rose, I like Baghamalini Nitya's- The color of the flower that can only bloom in the midnight at the night sky. It kinda reminds me of my own hair and the flower was quite unique and rare to the point where species of the plant were endangered.

I can relate. I'm glad that I have my own small garden filled with them because I treat them with lots of care as if it were children.

As I came to a corner of a turn by the side of the main building of the estate grounds, I came to bump into a hard and firm wall.

'Funny... There was never a wall here before...?' I looked up to only find myself blushing furiously with an shaped mouth to find my most beloved brother in the world.

"Yo Aki! What are you doing up so early?" My blush deepen and I had finally snapped out of my daze of distraction.

'Huh? Why was I up early? I just got up and got dressed then walked out of my own house. Crazy fact that our Mother and Father both gave all of us 7 siblings our own houses on our estate grounds. '

"Ja, I was going to take a stroll to the main gardens to pass some time before breakfast. I just rushed out of my house without knowing the time. That's it." I said it with such straight face and my brother bursted out laughing. My cheeks burned with embarrassment as he continued to laugh while slapping his left knee.

"S-shut up Shi-nii! Why is it so funny?!" I start to punch the air with fury as if steam were bursting out of my ears. He slowly stopped laughing as he wiped his tears of laughter at the corners of his eyes.

"Sorry Aki! So do you wa-" His sentence was cut off by the sound of a grumbling stomach... My stomach...

My face burned up, my face multiple shades of deep red with Shi-nii laughing his head off again... Except that this time he controlled his laughter a bit more than before.

I hit my stomach once and hid my face behind my hands, turning away from him out of embarrassment and shy feelings.

"Yo Aki, are you hungry? I'm pretty sure I heard something that sounded like a bear." I turned around as I see him smirk in a playful manner. I tried to punch his face multiple times with my small fists of fury.

"Shut up! Shut up! I will kill you!" Although I continued to try to hit him, but he is way taller and stronger than me...

'I CAN'T EVEN GET CLOSE TO HIM!'

His arm was stretched out with his hand planted on my forehead, preventing me from getting closer to hit his face. I stopped knowing that I can't punch his face in this situation and undid my fists, but still felt my face flushing red.

"Hey Aki, why don't we get breakfast to please your appetite." He smiled gently down upon me, making me blush once more and returned the smile bac.

"Ja. Let's go... Shi-nii..." We walked side by side, past the small gardens that surrounds us and walked towards the dining room...

Together, hand in hand.

Flashback ended
I woke up slowly and felt tears fall down onto the sheets and pillows of my new soft and comfy bed.

Noticing that the sun was rising, I decided to go take a stroll... Especially since it'll calm me down from thinking.

'I wish that Shi-nii is still here, but my sins can ever be forgiven.'

Walking out of my room, I automatically just reminded myself that I had no clue where anything was at. I face palmed my face and gave a long sigh, not knowing what I should do.

I leaned against my door and thought to myself for a couple of minutes until I heard a voice call out to me. I looked up to see who it was and found myself facing towards Obi.

"What are you doing up at this hour miss? Are you feeling alright?" I looked into his golden cat-like eyes and stared in awe until I quickly snapped out of my daze and broke our confrontational eye contact and stared at the ground blankly with depression hidden in my eyes.

"Would you like to take a stroll miss? I have a couple of hours before I go to my master's study." He gave me a warm smile and gesture as I nodded my head and told him that I will need five minutes to change. After all, it is until he needs to go and I have to go along with him to retrieve my weapons.

I went back into my room and noticed a small white bag on my desk. I opened it to find my old clothes mended that the tailor fixed up for me. I smiled lightly and dressed into it with a small smile on my face. I tied my hair into long twin tails and placed on my knee-boots and headed towards the door.

"Ja Obi, I'm ready..." He stared at me for a couple of seconds and cleared his throat. I saw a hint of small of pink hue on his cheek and shrugged it off my mind.

"Well let's walk around while I give you a tour of the castle miss." He placed his hands behind his head in a carefree manner as I followed him.
