Recap "From now on, Stella, you would be working with Obi. In short, you two are partners, so Obi I do hope that you would take care of her..." Zen glared at Obi who showed a shock expression.
"B-but master, I don't really need a partner." I was extremely disappointed that it felt like someone was doubting my abilities. Zen-nii was gonna yell in protest, but I cut him off.
"I'm sorry for your disappointment, but I will not slow you down. It will be the other way around. Let's just work together and hopefully you won't regret it, partner." Obi scratched his cheek and shook my hand.
"Great, now I have a small mission for you two that you'll start in a couple of days..." ------------------------------------- Third person POV
"You two will be going out to the mountains, past the ocean, and to find a group of bandits that has been causing trouble lately. Even our soldiers can't handle them so I think it's best to send you two to help resolved this. Our informers have told us that they have been hiding out in caves throughout the mountains. That is all. Now you may begin getting ready for tomorrow morning."
Stella and Obi both saluted and replied,"Yes sir." Zen then excused us as we exited.
Obi sighed from mixed emotions and looked at Stella. Obi wasn't able to see what Stella was thinking because her bangs were covering her eyes, but lifted her head when Obi was gonna ask her if she was okay. Her face was void of emotions as she held a serious face.
"Um miss are-" Obi was cut off as she faced towards him with a direct eye contact that held seriousness as her turquoise orbs glowed with fire.
"Obi. We leave at midnight which gives us 9 hours to prepare and enough time to set off to the mountain. We meet up by the gates. Is that clear." Obi slightly nodded his head in hesitation as Stella nodded her head in too, response. She bowed towards Obi and retreated to her room to get ready. Obi was left there awestruck and just chuckled it off.
'What an interesting person. Stella... Like the stars....'
Stella's POV 'Hmmm... What should I bring.... Should I bring my katana or my dual swords? I know that I'm gonna bring my daggers, but what should I bring as my main weapon? I don't want to bring both and make more luggage while hiking out in mountains...' I sighed and walked over to my wardrobe and looked through the selection of clothes.
'I need to wear something that'll be flexible and light and also comfortable...'
"Maybe I should wear this one... It's pretty nice. It's kinda stretchy and it looks comfortable." It had a dark navy-grey hood clipped onto the tight but stretchy tan long sleeved with black gloves. The corset of the shirt was made from black leather with a belt buckle as it covered part of my midnight black high-waist pants. There were straps that wrapped around my thigh and leg. To top it off, I had black boots that went past my ankles.
