The suns rays shone through the bus windows, providing warmth to my entire body. Surprisingly, last nights sleep was perfect. I feared that sleeping in the same proximity as so many other people would be my worst nightmare.Jungkook!" I scoffed, rolling over in my bus seat as his leg whacked my face.
His lips slowly came together as if he were trying to speak in his sleep. He turned his body so that his back faced me, and continued to softly breathe.
I stood from my seat, trying to keep my balance as the bus went over a bumpy road.
"Sorry Dongmin." I apologized after I stepped on his hand.
Why was he sleeping on the floor in the first place? I continued my curious thoughts until I reached the driver.
"Hi, sir, um—
"You're like a fly.." The old man nasally spoke. "You never want to die."
My brows slowly rose as my mouth parted. Listen, I understand why people inside the facility might not like me, but a random bus driver?
"You want me to get to the point?" I crossed my arms. "I need to pee." I proudly yelled out.
I felt a dozen eyes on me and I slowly turned around to try and explain my self.
"Sorry, g-go back to sleep." I whispered, as if it made things better.
"Actually don't." The bus driver countered. "We're here."
Those words got everyone's attention. No, not me needing to pee, but the bus drivers words. Everyone's face was against the window as this was the first time that many of them got to see anything beyond the facility walls.
"No way." One of the boy's gasped as he looked back and forth at his friends.
"It's nothing I haven't seen." Jungkook muttered before closing the shades over his window. He turned back on his side, and the snoring began.
I moved into an empty seat to see the sight itself. I was actually impressed, more so enticed at what I was seeing. Sure the forest was nice and all, but this was something I've truly never seen before.
It looked like someone dumped an enormous pile of sand onto the Earth from space. Basically it looked like the beach but with no water.
"We call this... the desert." The man whispered in a story telling manner.
They were only more and more intrigued, gasping every time they saw the wind carry the sand into the air. I was propped against the window, as Taehyung joined me. He too, was amazed by what the Earth had to discover. Sure, people before us have seen it a million times, but we've only seen a quarter of what lies outside our roof.
