Chapter 2

I walked off the ship leaving the captain and F/N alone with Jamison. Reinhardt placed a hand on my shoulder as we began to walk away from them,

"Y/N I'm glad that you're back but..."

"But what?" I asked stopping and looking at him concerned

"Ever since I helped you leave the witch has been....punishing us if you would say." Reinhardt sighed rubbing his large hands together nervously 

"What do you mean? What happened?" 

"Multiple people that came to this town has disappeared, including Brigitte."

My eyes widened at the mention of Brigitte. Before F/N and I left Eichenwalde after our escape Brigitte helped us with our wounds that the witch gave us. We bonded over night, but I couldn't bring myself to tell her that I was leaving in the morning. My heart stung with pain as I looked at Reinhardt that was holding back tears,

"H-How?" I stuttered holding back my own tears although he couldn't see them through my helmet

"A week after you left the witch and her allies attacked, and they took Brigitte."

My fist clench in anger,

"And who else?"

"Moira O'Deorain. The geneticist that became fascinated with the magic here. She wondered into the forest and never came back out. A week later Katya Volskaya and her bodyguard Aleksandra Zaryanova visited here. Some of the locals didn't see them for a few days, so we investigated their cabin they were renting. As we entered the cabin there was obvious signs of a struggle, but the two were never found. Then two weeks later Hana Song visited, and she started to insult the witch. She went into the woods, and just like Moira she never came back out. Another week later Lena Oxton came to visit me, and I saw the countess kidnap her right in front of me. I tried to help Lena, but I was blocked by two werewolves."

My eyes widened at the word werewolves,

"S-She has even more of them? Those poor people.." I muttered under my breath

"Last but not least was Ana Amari. She came to investigate her daughter's disappearance, only to disappear herself." 

"Sweet Jesus. That's a lot of people." I ran my hand through my H/C hair, "All of them were kidnapped within months of us leaving." 

"I don't mean to be rude but I wish that you leave as soon as possible. Just for the safety of my people." Reinhardt stated giving me a sad look

"I understand," I smiled up at him, "That was our plan anyway." 

Reinhardt smiled, "I'm glad that you're not taking it too personal. Before we go how about I treat you to a drink?"

"Sure." 

Reinhardt let out a cheer as he wrapped his arm around my shoulders before guiding me to the nearest pub. We sat down in a corner booth where a waiter quickly came and took our order. The waiter knew Reinhardt enough as he got his usual while I only got a water,

"Why are you not drinking my friend?" Reinhardt chuckled raising his beer mug

"I can't drink on duty Rein." I chuckled as he took a drink from his mug, "You know Rein we're kind of alike now."

He looked at me confused,

"What do you mean?"

I chuckled before I took off my mask and his eyes widened. I had a scar that ran over my right eye, but it wasn't deep enough to damage my eye.

"You have a battle scar!" His eyes widened as he smiled, "You must tell me your heroic tale!" 

"Okay, okay. I'll tell you." 

F/N POV

The captain was taking a nap, so I was stuck babysitting Jamison. I glared at him through my helmet as he snickered,

"I'ma guess that's you F/N! Wherever Y/N is you're right there beside her."

I stayed silent knowing that he would want a reaction. This only caused him to giggle,

"What are you so quiet for? For two species that suppose to hate each other you sure get along well."

"That's because we've been through the same shit." I growled standing up, "Because fuckers like you."

I took off my helmet as my glare became more stern. In a second I had grabbed Jamison by the collar of his shirt, and I felt my eyes shift,

"You people don't care what happens to others or whoever she does her experiments on. You only care about your fucking self!" I yelled slamming his whole body against the bars over and over 

After about the 6th time I threw him away from the bars, making him slam against the back of the cell. He groaned as he held his head,

"I would watch it you little-"

"Shut up." I commanded him and he did exactly that

I put my helmet back on and turned around only to be met with a green belly. My eyes widened as I looked up and immediately recongized him,

"Oh fuck." I muttered before he smacked me into the wall of the ship 

The captain woke up and stared at the beast with wide eyes,

"What the hell!?" He shouted grabbing his gun and started to shoot Jamison's creation 

The bullets had no effect though and the beast only threw him through the window shield. I stood up as he ripped open the bars of Jamison's cell, and grabbed him. I mentally cursed as I started to chase the two, firing off rounds into the monster's back. Although I stopped chasing them once I realized they were heading towards the forest. I put my gun into my holster before walking back towards the ship. Y/N and Reinhardt were already there, and Y/N was helping the captain up,

"What happened?" Reinhardt asked me as I got closer

"Jamison's monster came and got him. I was chasing them until they started to head into the forest." I answered him as Y/N started to treat the captain's wounds

"He escaped?" Y/N asked as her hands began to shake

I nodded already knowing what she was thinking,

"Yeah he did." I walked over to her as Reinhardt took over for her

We both walked out of the ship as Y/N began to shake,

"You know he'll tell her. We're so screwed." She whimpered as I grabbed her shoulders

"No we're not screwed. They can come and try and get us but we'll kick their asses."

Y/N smiled as I cheered her up,

"Now lets go help the old man shall we?" I joked walking back to the ship
