Veronica POV:

I asked Xavier if we could go to the Pack House so he could finish off the rest of his work, but really I need to talk to Dyce, the only one that can know anything about what Feronda called me about earlier, only because he knows about from when he was just a wolf and didn't understand. But at least I can confide in him again, ever since Xavier found out he doesn't like us being together, I believe, out of jealousy.

I walked up to a random person because I still  barely know anyone here and I don't know where the few people I do know are at. I walk up to a tall guy with jet black hair and light brown eyes, fairly tanned, maybe 6'3 or 6'4 and attractively toned. I let my eyes linger on his bicep a little too long as I look back into his eyes and he has a sheepish smile on his face. I let out a nervous laugh as I keep glancing back to his bicep. Like Jesus Christ and I thought Omar had huge biceps.

"Hey." I start.

"Luna." He said little charmingly.

"Do you know where I can find Dyce?" He looked kind of disappointed but still helped me.

"Yea. East wing of the manor, second floor, 6th door on your left and it might have a sticker of Mike Wazowski on there. Depends on if he took it off or not."

"Thank you." I start to walk away but back traced myself. "Hey, what's your name?" I ask, making this a start to get to know the werewolves of this mansion manor.

"My name's Bruce Milton." He answered

As he said his name, I immediately thought of Bruce from Finding Nemo. It suites him, huge and tough and probably doesn't host meetings with other sharks and try to hurt the smaller and unfortunate. But I like him, he's genuine from what I can see.

"Bruce... it suites you."

I start walking to the east wing of the manor, and I take in the decoration. How the walls constantly fade into the same three colors. Off white, champagne, some shade of gold. It sounds weird but as you follow it works, whoever made it made it work. It's classy. He has these Spiral Under Stair design with a White Iron stair railing. I know it, because when I was in high school I took some home design class to make up for a credit I was missing.

I stopped at the top where I was facing the other doors, and remembered 6th door on my left and maybe a Mike Wazowski sticker on the door. I will ask about that because that is a bit different and unusual for a grown man... but so is living in a house filled with a bunch of half people and half dog so I guess you never know.

I knock on his door cautiously as I hope he's here and if not I don't know where to find him. Also, no sticker.

He opened the door, and as soon as seeing half of his face I pushed him inside and closed the door, locking it.

"Do you ever remember me and Lucy?" I whisper.

Barely two seconds went by before his head dropped, and he walked sluggishly to sit on his bed.

"I need your help." I start to cry. "You know the price... I'm scared." He got up and gave me a hug, and I couldn't help but cry into his chest. "I don't know what to do, Dyce."

"I mean you can wait it out?"

"No, I can't. The baby has already started to convert, but luckily the nurse and Xavier believed it was because I am human." I put myself in the corner. "I didn't know it would follow this long, and now-"

"It's ok, we can't get through this."

"No!" I cried yell. "To save Xavier's life I killed someone, but it wasn't the first time I felt so heartless and disgusting... the last time was with Lucy and-" I start to hyperventilate. "I can't."

"Maybe you and Feronda can work something else out."

"No!"

"I tried to cheat last time and my dad died!" I cry. "I was so young, stupid, and naive to all this shit, but I know it's real and it won't let me go."

"We can't just let it happen."

"But it's not like we can control it either."

"I think you should tell Xavier." He tells me.

"No no no! He can't get involved." I take in a deep breath through my nose and pull my hair to the back. "I didn't even want you involved but I didn't know you'd turn into a human. I mean should've, because demons actually fucking exist."

"Just don't say it's name... it's bad enough I can't unsee what had happen... I don't want to see it again." He sat on his bed slowly, just as traumatized feared until he was white in the face.

"I don't want to be alone." I slide down the wall.

"Mates aren't like boyfriends ok? Boyfriends will leave when it comes to shit like this, but mates are there through as thick as it gets to as thin as can be. Talk. To. Xavier."

I stayed silent for a moment. "She called me today, to collect. Xavier walked in. I think he over heard something, but I'm not sure. He didn't react like he did though."

"Tell him."
