Both companies had announced about our new group consisting of Diamond Hearts and Soul Rhythm. Soon, the public began to hype up and reporters from all over crowded around our companies' buildings hungry for answers.
We were about to head over to Pledis to discuss further details with Soul Rhythm. Just right when we were about to enter our van, more reporters started bombarding us with questions like "What is the relationship between the two groups?" or "What lead to the decision of merging both groups?".
Those were the big questions. We couldn't answer them even if we wanted to because if we answered they will ask even more questions. We quickly hustled through the crowd and into our van.
"That was hectic. I bet there will probably be more at Pledis, " Jae Eun said sighing.
"Can't help it. It's the 21st century, everybody is hungry for scandals. Some even make up fake ones just to earn money, " Hyo Mi replied and everyone sighed deeply.
"We should arrange a press conference to answer all those questions. That'll probably keep them down for awhile, " I suggested.
"That sounds good. I'm up for it but we need to get Soul Rhythm's cooperation first so we don't announce anything false. Also, it is better that we do the press conference with them so that the public won't think that we are the superior group or the group with the upper hand," Soo Jung said and we all agreed.
About 20 minutes later, we reached the front of Pledis. Alot of reporters were there and when they spotted our van they immediately crowded around it making no room for us to move or get out. Soon we heard voices shouting from outside of the van. We turned our heads to peek outside and it turns out to be Seventeen and Soul Rhythm helping to clear the crowd.
Once I saw the path was cleared, I opened the door carefully so that I do not accidentally hurt someone.
"It's nice to see you again, " a familiar voice said. I looked up and saw Mingyu smiling at me.
"It's nice to see you too, " I said smiling widely.
"Rose, not the time to flirt. We need to get into the building first, " Ji Yeon shouted from the back. My face immediately turned red. I scurried into the building and hearing Mingyu chuckling as he followed after. All the girls apparently got escorted personally by one of the Seventeen members so we were able to make it into the building safely.
We saw camera flashes everywhere outside of the glass doors. We quickly went to the meeting room to avoid further commotion.
"I'm glad you guys made it safely in here. The crowd hasn't died down yet," Yoo Jin said smiling at us.
"Yeah, it isn't any better at our place either," Mila said scratching the back of her head.
"Oh yeah! Roselle suggested that we should hold a press conference to answer their burning questions. We will do it if you guys are up for it, " Eun Na added on. Everyone nodded their heads.
We had decided to hold the press conference two days from that day so we have time to plan. We announced it right after we agreed on the timings and venue.
~Time skip to two days later~
It was the day of the press conference. We wore colour matching clothes because we're team now. There were floods of reporters in the room all eagerly waiting for us.
"Thank you for coming to this conference. We will your answer questions only if they are appropriate but first let's start with introductions," Hyo Mi spoke into the mic and looking over to Soul Rhythm.
"Hello everybody, I am Ahn Yoo Jin, the leader of Soul Rhythm," Yoo Jin smiled and waved to everyone.
"Hello I am Hara ," Hyo Rin said smiling softly. Soon mumbles could be heard like 'isn't she the one who caused the mess?' or 'she's the one who caused a fuss right?'.
"Alright me next! I'm Eun Ji! The groups oldest member!" Chan Ri said lifting up the mood. Soon the mumbling died down.
"I'm Hani"
"I'm Nikky,"
"My name is Somin! The youngest,"
"I'm Kwon Hyo Mi, leader of Diamond Hearts, "
"I'm Sok Jae Eun, the oldest in Diamond Hearts, "
"I'm Lee Soo Jung,"
"I'm Roselle Kim Min Seo also a leader in Diamond Hearts and I go by Roselle, " the crowd suddenly gasped but we continued to introduce ourselves.
"I'm Jeong Eun Na the youngest!"
"I'm Lee Ji Yeon,"
"And I'm Mila Garcia,"
"Alright everyone let's get seated and start the press conference," Yoo Jin gestured all of us to be seated.
"Let's go row by row then. The first person on the left side of the first row, what is your question," Jae Eun said.
"Will you guys still be promoting with your original groups?" the reporter asked and held out a recorder to catch our answer.
"Yes, we will continue to promote with our original groups. In addition to that, we are going to have sub units which we will promote with as well," Hyo Mi explained firmly.
"Alright next," Jae Eun said quickly.
"What is your relationship with each other?" the next reporter asked confidently.
Alright Roselle, answer carefully. Whatever you say will be recorded down as evidence. I took a deep breath and said smiling confidently, "Soul Rhythm and us are getting along well perfectly fine. In fact we planning a special unit with some of the girls soon."
All the reporters were in shock and some had their mouths hung wide open. The next reporter then proceeded to ask questions, "What's the new group's name?"
"The new group name is Lunar Gem, " I answered confidently.
The conference went on for another hour and soon we where heading back to our respective dorms to rest.
