"I'm back..."

"Papa! Welcome home!" A girl, not older than six, came out from the living room and rushed to the front door to greet the man.

"Welcome home, Kei." A woman in her mid thirties gave off a warm smile at him.

" *chuckles* How's my two lovely girls doing?" The man said as he put down his briefcase and carried the little girl in his arms.

"We're doing great!" The girl smiles brightly while putting both her hands up in joy. The father then walked towards the mother and gave a peck on her cheeks, to which she blushed at the sudden action.

"Geez..."

"Hehehe!!! Mama and Papa are cute together!" The two adults laughed at their daughter's words.

It has been going well for the Yoshiko household. Three of them, laughing around whenever they were together, no nuisance to bother the family. However, those days are going to end soon for the happy family.

A tragedy had befall onto them...

"Papa! Papa! Wake up! Please! Open your eyes!" An eight year old girl, crying her heart out as she saw her father laying on the ground, blood around him, not moving an inch. She shakes and shakes but the man just wouldn't budge.

The mother was at home preparing dinner. The father decided to bring their daughter out for a walk since it had been a long for a father's and daughter's moment together. And, it was the girl's birthday. Being the kind mother who has an excellent cooking skill, decided to make something special for their only daughter.

"Papa!" Passerby were surrounding them and you could hear the sound of sirens.

"Poor kid..."

"The driver should have slowed down..."

"I can't believe he just drove off..."

"What will happen to the girl...?"

"The girl is lucky that her father saved her..."

Whispers could be heard from the girl's ears. Ever since she was at the age of four, her hearing ability was outstanding. She could clearly hear her surroundings, like an animal.

"SHUT UP!!!" The girl shouted at the crowd, tears streaming down her cheeks. The people looked at her with wide eyes but decided to keep quiet.

"Little miss, please let go. We need to take him to the hospital." A guy in his mid twenties said to the girl as he put a hand on her shoulder.

" *sniff* C-can I follow...?" The girl said between her sobs. The man sighed.

"Of course. Hurry and bring the stretcher and bring him to the hospital immediately!" The guy said to the nurses and they did as they were told and brought the unconscious man into the ambulance.

"Honey!" The woman had immediately rush to the hospital when she received a sudden call from the hospital that her husband was in the hospital after an accident.

"Mama!" The girl hugged her mother tightly as she let out a cry. The mother was patting the girl's back, trying to hold back her tears.

They were sitting on the waiting bench just outside the operating room, waiting for the news about the injured man.

"Doctor! How's my husband?!" The mother instantly stood up as she looked at the Doctor, hoping to hear a good news.

"The surgery was a success but it seems he won't be waking up soon..." The Doctor said. He looked the little girl whose eyes were puffy red. Then, he look back at the woman.
