Meeting again

Mal's Pov
The ringing of my alarm clock ripped me out of my sweet dreams. I groaned and turned around to turn it off. It was another Monday. First day of the week and I had to wake up at 6 a.m. My shift wouldn't even start before 1 p.m. but I always woke up earlier,so that I could start my morning routine. I hated it to wake up early but I had to or else I wouldn't be able to get some things done in the moring. For example I had enough time to think about what to eat for breakfast and then would maybe buy some stuff while jogging. That was my workout for most days. And then after I got everyhting, I would walk back home and make breakfast as well as coffee. Or shower first. It depended on how sweaty I felt I was.

I got up,opened the curtains and strethced a little bit before walking over to my wardrobe and picking an outfit for my jog. When I assured myself that I had evrything,I went to the bathroom where I combed my hair and then put it in a messy bun. Then I brushed my teeth and changed into my workout outfit. I pulled the zipper of my jacket up and walked back into my room to put on my shoes and to grab my phone as well as my headphones.

Shortly after that, I walked into the kitchen of Becky's and my shared apartment to write a note for her. I didn't want her to worry about me and she wanted me to tell her or leave her a note if I for example had to leave for work earlier than normally. So I took a little paper and grabbed a pen to write the note. I wrote: Good Morning! :) I'm jogging and will bring home some croissants for breakfast. - Love, Mal <3 I put the note on the table and looked for my keys and my purse.,,Where did I put them yesterday?",I asked myself. Oh right! My purse was in my bag which was in my room and my keys where in a bowl in the living room.,,We really need to put out bowl for the keys somewhere else.",I mumbled and extended my hand when I stopped in the living room. I used my powers to get my keys to fly into my hand and grinned when they were in my hand. Some powers were really useful in your everyday life!

,,Ok... So I got money with me,my phone as well as my headphones and my keys. That's everything I need now,right?",I listed everything and then nodded. Yeah,I sometimes talked to myself. Ok,often. I walked to the front door which I unlocked it with my powers...What? As long as nobody saw my powers,everything was ok. I walked out of the apartment and closed the door behind me. Then I left the building and began to jog. I jogged to the Peck Park, greeted some people and jogged through the park.

After I jogged about an hour and a half, I jogged to the bakery and bought some croissants like I promised in the note which I left for Becky. I thanked the baker and made my way back home. But on my way home I was called. I grabbed my phone and answered.,,Sullivan here.",I said and stopped.,,Perez here.",one of the Detectives answered. I knew her. She was the one who took me under her wing when I started to work for the DPD (Detroit Police Department).,,What can I do for you,Detective?",I asked and began to walk again. I didn't want to stay here for the rest of the day and it looked like it was about to rain.,,There was a shooting at the Mumford High. Some kids were held hostage. We already handled it but your good with kids.",she explained and took a breath.,,So you want me to come to the station and ask some students about what happened and what they saw?",I finished.,,Exaclty. We're getting the kids here and they'll wait for you.",Jess, my nickname for her, said.,,Ok. I'll be there in about two hours.",I meant and beganto walk faster because it started to rain. Of course it had to start now!,,Ok. See you then.",she said and hung up. I put my phone in my pocket and ran back home.

Back in the apartment
I closed the door behind me after I had walked into the apartment. Then I walked into the kitchen, threw my keys on the counter and put the bag with the croissants on it as well.,,You look like you ran here.",a voice from behind me said.,,I did and that's why I'm gonna take a shower now.",I told Becky as I turned around to look at her.,,Then do that. I'll set the table.",Becky meant. I thanked her and walked to the bathroom where I undressed myself and took a relaxing, warm shower.
