A few days later Mal's Pov It was a sunny Friday morning and I had the day off. And why? Because I needed to rest. Just because I was hurt, didn't mean that I couldn't do my job. On Tuesday, the Captain had said that for that Tuesday and Wednesday that all I would be doing was fucking paper work! I wasn't even that bad injured and then that happened.
I sighed and got out of bed. It would still be a rather exhausting day because Becky and I would be train after almost a week again. Yes, we trained our powers together. At first, the point of that was to get to know our powers better and to see what we could do. Now, we were just training because we wanted to do good things with our powers and because we were heroes at night. Well, not every night but we did help the city without being seen on camera. Which was better than to be seen every time we saved someone or caught the bad guys. Anyways, I left my room and walked into the kitchen to make coffee but who did I find in the kitchen making pancakes? Becky.
,,Oh, good morning.",I greeted her and leaned against the counter.,,Good morning to you too. How did you sleep?",she asked referring to my shoulder.,,Pretty good. You too, as it seems?",I replied and she nodded while flipping a pancake.,,Could you set the table? The pancakes are almost ready.",Becky said and put the pancake on a plate where more pancakes were. I nodded and set the table for us.,,Did you make coffee?",I asked while grabbing two cups.,,Yes, I did.",she answered and walked to the table with the plate full of pancakes in one and the coffee pot in the other hand. She put them on the table and then sat down across from me. We both grabbed some pancakes and began to eat.
,,So, what are our plans today?",Becky asked and sipped her coffee.,,Well, we should definitely train today. Maybe even jog there. Only if it doesn't start to rain now.",I said and she nodded.,,So we're going out on patrol tonight?",Becky inquired and I nodded because my mouth was full of pancakes. I swallowed and sipped my coffee.,,We also need to buy some stuff. Like food and maybe clothes?",Becky added and I meant:,,You always want to buy new clothes.",,What? I don't have anything to wear.",she argued and laughed.,,That is a lie. And you know it!",I said and bursted into laughter.,,You're mean.",Becky mumbled which just made laugh more.,,Let's finish breakfast and get ready or else we'll never start training.",I said and we both finished breakfast. Then we drank our coffee and cleared the table. Then was Becky the first of us two who used the bathroom. While she was in the bathroom, I stood in front of my wardrobe and decided what I would be wearing.
After I had everything for my outfit, I put my "uniform" into my backpack. It wasn't even a real uniform. Just a random outfit in which I beat up the bad guys. Becky had a real uniform and it was beautiful. I shook my head.,,I should change into the outfit.",I mumbled and first undressed myself and then dressed myself. I combed my hair and put it in a normal ponytail. Then there was a knock on my door.,,You can go into the bathroom.",Becky told me. I left my room and walked into the bathroom where I brushed my teeth and put on some makeup. I wasn't a big fan of makeup but today I felt a little extra and put it on. Then I grabbed my deodorant and walked back into my room to put it into my backpack but not before using it briefly.,,Mal? Could we maybe jog there another time?",Becky asked me and walked into my room.,,Ok. But now let's go...Cute outfit by the way.",I replied and walked past her to the door and unlocked it. She thanked me after she came to me and together we left the apartment and then the building.
