Mal's Pov I woke up to some birds chirping outside. What time was it? I sat up slowly, trying not to wake Becky up and took a look at her alarm clock. It was now 7am. Why birds? Why didn't you let me sleep? I sighed and decided to stand up and make coffee. As I left Becky's room, I really tried to be very very quiet. She could sleep a little more. When I closed the door behind me, I walked into the kitchen.
I made some coffee and decided to make some breakfast. We shouldn't leave or do whatever before eating something first.,,Good morning.",a voice startled me. I turned around to see Rachel.,,Good morning. Couldn't sleep anymore?",I asked her and tried not to be too loud because Dick was sleeping on the couch. Rachel nodded and rubbed her arms.,,Are you cold? I could give you a sweater if you need it.",I asked her.,,No, it's fine.",she said and looked behind me at the coffee machine.,,You're making coffee?",she inquired. I nodded and got two cups.,,You want one?",I replied and she nodded.,,My Mom didn't like it when I drank coffee.",she muttered. I breathed out. I felt sorry for what had happened to her. She saw her mother die in front of her eyes. She reminded me a little bit of myself.,,Want some sugar?",I asked and poured coffee in the cups.,,Yes, please.",she answered and I put her cup on the counter. Then I handed her the sugar bowl so that she could take as much sugar as she would normally put in the coffee. Rachel put in a lot of sugar in the cup.,,A sweet tooth.",I thought and smiled a little before drinking my own coffee.
,,So what do you wanna eat for breakfast?",I wanted to know. She took a sip of her coffee.,,Cereal.",was her answer. I nodded.,,Would it be ok, if I made some eggs and bacon? Because we don't have cereal here.",I told her and she nodded.,,That's ok too...Can I help you?",Rachel said.,,Of course, you can.",I exclaimed and smiled. Then, together, we prepared and made breakfast.
Becky's Pov I woke up to the smell of bacon and sat up. Mal was already awake and made breakfast. I looked over to the side where she slept.,,So it wasn't a dream..",I mumbled when I saw her blanket and pillow. I really thought that what had happened yesterday night, was a dream. But it wasn't. That would mean that we were gonna leave today. If that was our decision on what to do know. But I already knew that this was going to be the way. I sighed and got out of bed. Then I walked out of my room just to find someone watching Rachel and Mal making breakfast.
,,You know that it's rude to stare, right?",I said as I walked up behind Dick. He looked at me.,,I wasn't staring.",he meant.,,of course you weren't.",I mocked him. But I mean, who wouldn't stare at Mal. She was beautiful and smart and such a wonderful human being. Yeah, I had to admit that I had a tiny crush on my best friend. She didn't know this about me but I was bi. Yes, I hooked up with some guys but I like to have sex with a girl too.,,Who's staring now, huh?",Dick asked and I punched him slightly. He chuckled which caused Mal and Rachel to turn around.,,Oh good morning guys. Want some coffee?",Mal inquired cheerfully. I smiled and was so happy to have her as a friend.
Mal's Pov ,,Yes, please. I need caffeine.",Becky said and tried to sound dramatic. I laughed and got another two cups which I filled with coffee. Because I was a good friend, I knew how Becky like her coffee and I even remembered how Dick liked his coffee. I gave them their cups while Rachel watched the bacon and eggs.,,How you like it.",I told them. Becky thanked me before taking a sip but Dick took a huge sip and looked surprised.,,You sill remember?",he asked.,,Yeah. I don't forget everything.",I told him and walked back to Rachel.,,Hey, could you set the table? We're almost finished.",I said and looked at Becky. She nodded and told Dick that he should make himself useful. They both set the table while Rachel and I finished frying bacon and cooking some eggs.
During breakfast We were eating and it was quiet. Normally Becky and I talked nonstop but with Rachel and Dick here, we couldn't. Well, we could talk but about what?,,So? What are we gonna do?",Rachel asked and broke the silence. I looked at Dick and then at Becky.,,Leaving the city would be the best thing to do.",Becky meant even though she wasn't fond of this idea. Rachel nodded.,,We should go after breakfast.",I added and the others nodded.,,We should use only one car. It's better and easier that way.",Dick said. Leaving the impala here? I sighed. Dick was right, but I didn't want to leave my car here....Oh wait! I had an idea...,,I'll be right back.",I excused myself and stood up. Then I walked into my room where my phone still was.
I picked it up and dialled a number.,,C'mon...Pick up.",I thought and waited a few seconds but no one answered. But the sound of the 'please leave a message' was heard. Well, then I was gonna do that.,,Hey, it's me. Mal. You remember? Well, anyways I need you to do me a favor. The car of my best friend and my car, could you take them and watch them? We need to leave the city. I'll send you my address and I know that it's gonna be a long way for you but you still owe me after what happened the last time.",I rattled down.,,Maybe we'll get them soon but for now, please just take them to you. Thanks.",I ended and hung up. Hopefully, this worked. I looked around my room.,,Let's pack some stuff.",I mumbled and packed some clothes in my big backpack. My uniform was under everything.
,,Mal? You still in there?",Becky asked me from the other side of the door.,,Yes. But I'll be out in a sec.",I answered and put the backpack away for now. Then I walked out of my room.,,What were you doing?",she inquired.,,Nothing important. Just packing some clothes and...you know.",I told her and she nodded.,,Well, we've finished and put everything away already. Now we need to get ready and then, we're ready to leave.",Becky informed me.,,Ok. Then go and pack your stuff. I'm gonna get changed and then use the bathroom.",I said and Becky nodded before walking into her room. Then I walked back inside my room where I changed into some random outfit.

After that, I left my room and walked into the bathroom where I found Rachel.,,Hey, you ok?",I asked her because she seemed kind of scared.,,I-i don't know. I'm scared that it could happen again.",she answered. I knew what she meant. The incident from yesterday. I closed the door and looked at her.,,I know what you mean.",I said. She shook her head.,,You don't understand.",she meant.,,I do understand. I've been through the same as you.",I told her. Rachel looked at me.,,You can tell if I'm liying. So, am I lying to you?",I inquired. She grabbed my arm and then shook her head.,,You're not.",she said.,,Exactly. I can help you. Becky too. Just give us some time to figure it out how, ok?",I replied and she nodded. I smiled and then asked if she could leave the bathroom. She nodded and thanked me quietly before walking out. I brushed my teeth, put on some makeup and perfume and combed my hair. Then I walked out and saw Dick standing at the door, holding my backpack.
,,Rachel gave it to me.",he informed me and threw it at me. I caught it easily and walked to him. We waited for Becky and Rachel. When they came, we left our apartment. It could probably be the last time that we'll be here. I liked it here but I was willing to leave everything behind to help Rachel.....
