We walk out of the hole in the wall and it's late in the night. I look up and see the big moon circling the planet. Behind it, I also see a big red planet taking up a big part of the sky.

"Well, we're out," Simon says confidently.

"Yeah, I guess we are," I respond. "So where are we exactly?"

"I have no idea."

"Great, just great. How are we supposed to get out of here now?"

"I don't know. Maybe we can find someone that can show us to the closest town or stronghold."

"Find someone. On a mountain. That won't try and kill us the moment they lay eyes on us."

"You have a point. I guess we could just walk a random direction. Then we're bound to find a town or stronghold."

"Yeah, but how far will we be going 'till we find one," I say irritated.

"Khajiit believes that if this one goes this direction, this one will reach Whiterun my sun up," a woman's raspy voice reaches to us.

"Wha- who are you. Show yourself!" Simon yells.

"What the hell!" I exclaim unsheathing my sword.

"It is alright, khajiit will never hurt unless you hurt khajiit." The khajiit walks into the moonlight. Her fur is a bright silver with streaks of dark brown running through her face.

"How do we know that you're telling the truth?" Simon asks.

"You don't," the khajiit grins.

"We have to trust her, or else we may never get to a town again." I butt in.

"Your friend is correct, you know. You may not trust khajiit, but khajiit will help you." the khajiit says.

"So what is your name khajiit,"

"I do not have one, most people just call me things like horse thief, traitor, murderer, and similar things."

"Can we really trust this.. this.. thing?" Simon whispers to me.

"We're gonna have to," I whisper back. "I mean, this khajiit will be the only one here in who knows how long."

"You do have a point,"

"Ahh, khajiit see now," she says. "Khajiit sorry for bothering you, I shall be on my way."

"No, wait!" I yell.

"Yes?" the khajiit woman rasps.

"Take us to Whiterun, please, I'm begging you."

"Hmm," the khajiit thinks, still standing there. "How desperate are you two?"

"Not really actually, you pointed us towards Whiterun, we could get there no sweat." Simon comments.

"Yeah maybe, but which way did she point?" I impatiently asked Simon.

"That way," Simon points past me. "Or did she point that way?" He points his other hand behind him.

"Neither," the khajiit steps in. "You will have to go this way," the khajiit starts to walk away. "Come. It's a far walk, and we're losing time. If we start now, we will get to Whiterun by sun up."

Simon and I exchange glances at each other before reluctantly following the khajiit. We don't know where this khajiit was taking us or if she is actually taking us to Whiterun, but we have no other options but to follow.

"So Smith, do you still think that the khajiit means us no harm?" Simon scoffs. It is now about an hour past sun up and we still haven't seen a single stronghold. Hell, we haven't seen anything man-made since Bleak Falls Barrow.

"Not much further now," the khajiit raspy voice says. "It's khajiit's fault it's so late."

"You got that right," Simon responds.

"Well, at least we're almost there, wherever there is."

"Just where exactly are we khajiit?" Simon asks.

"Look." the khajiit stops at the top of a small hill. We catch up with her. In front of us, there is an abundance of large and small buildings and a couple windmills and a giant castle wall that is hard to miss. The windmills have four blades made of some sort of animal skin, and The castle walls are staggered and made of what looks like one solid block of rock from where I am standing. "That is Whiterun, inside of those walls there."

"Wow, that's Whiterun? I'm sorry I ever doubted you khajiit." Simon says shocked

"Khajiit understands," the khajiit says.

"Thank you, really, we appreciate your help," I say starting towards Whiterun.

"Yes thank you," Simon following me.

"You two are welcome. Khajiit will be going now," she says walking the opposite direction.

Simon and I wave to the khajiit and walk down the small hill. At the bottom of the hill, we get onto a path made of a variety of stones. The path is long and passes right by some of the buildings. Then, out of nowhere, two foxes jump onto the path then jump off again in a playful manner.

We continue walking on the path towards the buildings when we see a guard walking down the path in our direction. We both stop dead. The guard walks closer to us. We don't know what to do. Closer. I look for a quick and non-suspicious way out. Then, the guard says "good morning, stay out of trouble," and keeps going. We both relax and continue on to Whiterun.
