I walk up to the castle gate slowly, still thinking about what I am and what they called me. Dragonborn. Born with the blood of a dragon in your veins. As I was thinking, the guards open the gate wide open for me. I don't question it and continue on towards the castle. I walk by a lot of people and they look at me in awe. Every one of them slowing a bit and showing their respect. Climbing the first set of stairs, people stop and look at me. Every time I pass a guard, they say "thank the nine for the Dragonborn." it's almost weird.

I go around the big tree, and then I hear a big boom almost like thunder. "What the hell what that?" I exclaim. I look around, looking for clouds. The sky is as clear as a crystal. Now, I'm looking for a dragon. Not one of those either. What made the sound. I decide to ignore it for the time being and continue to the keep.

I reach the doors of the keep and open them widely. People slowly start to look towards me. Finally, the last one to notice me is the Jarl, eating a sweet roll. I walk up the to the Jarl's chair and kneel. "The dragon has been slain, by many of your brave guards and me." I present to the Jarl. He looks shocked.

"You have?" the Jarl asks instantly.

"I have, I also absorbed some sort of power from the dragon."

"Oh?" the Jarl looks at me oddly.

I stand up. "Now, everyone is calling me the Dragonborn."

"So, it's true. The greybeards truly were summoning you."

"The greybeards?" I ask.

"The greybeards are the only people in all of Skyrim that have learned the way of the voice over many decades of practice.

"So that's what that boom in the sky was."

"Yes, that was the greybeards calling you. You should go to them, they could help you learn more about being Dragonborn."

"I should, but I think I'm going to stay in Whiterun for a little bit," I say yawning. "Is there an inn or a house I could buy?"

"There is, actually." the Jarl sits straighter than he was. "There is a house near the entrance called Breezehome. It's 5000 gold coins, but the whole house is furnished and ready for use."

"Five thousand gold coins, huh?" I pull out my coin purse. "Will this cover it. There are about 4000 gold coins in this bag. Plus, I'll throw in a-" I get cut off.

"Don't worry about anything else, the 4000 will do, thane of whiterun."

"Thanks- wait. Thane of Whiterun? What do you mean by that?
"You'll find out." The Jarl chuckled a little. Why though?

"Ok, thank you again, Jarl." I turn around and walk towards the door. As I walk down the stairs, the big doors open up to Emma. She walks up to me as I get to the bottom.

"The Jarl assigned me to be your... housecarl." she looks down.

"My what?" I have no I have no idea what she was talking about.

"A housecarl. You know, someone who is supposed to do as the thane wishes. Have you never heard of a housecarl?" She looks at me.

"N-never." I am starting to fear for my life.

She looks down and sighs. "Whatever, just follow me, I'll show you to your new home."

"Tha- wait, how did you know I bought a house?"

"News travels to me fast, and for good reasons."

"Huh, well just show me to my new home."

"Ok." she turns around and walks out the doors.

For a second, I just stand there still thinking about having Emma as my housecarl. I then follow her out the doors onto the bridge. I catch up to her midway down the other sets of stairs.

"Took you long enough." she looks a little mad.

"Sorry," I say. She huffs.

We reach this medium size house right next to the blacksmith. Maybe I could ask them if I could use there forge?

Emma retrieves a silver key and puts it into the lock of the door. It fits inside and the door opens. The room inside the house is pretty big and has a small fire pit in the middle of the room surrounded by a couple of chairs and a table. Behind that are the kitchen and another room with something in it. There are stairs to the left of the room going up to all the bedrooms. Emma sits down in one of the chairs near the fire pit. I take a seat in the other chair.

"So, this is it huh?" I ask Emma.

"No, I just brought you to some random person's house and sat down."

"Alright, alright. I get it." I say expecting to get hit. Thankfully, I don't. Instead, she looks down at the ground. "Thank you, really. For not killing me. Or Simon"

"Speaking of Simon, where is that weasel, anyway? He was following you like a lost puppy."

"He Kinda went his own way."

"Better he did."

"Probably."

I stand up and go into the kitchen to grab something to eat. When I got there, behind me came a dagger that stuck into the wall. "What the FUCK was that for?" I yell in panic, turning around to find Emma right up against me, looking me dead in the eyes. Then, without warning, she kisses me on the lips.

I freeze. I don't know how to react to this. She stops the kiss but continues to look into my eyes. Her face is now red. My cheeks start getting warmer. We are both standing there, staring into each other's eyes, as close as we could be. I then lean forward and kiss her back on the lips. Emma wraps her arms around me and holds me closer.

When we stop, I am the first to back up. I gesture the upstairs. Emma nods and starts to go up the stairs. I follow close behind. She enters a big room with a big bed in the middle of it. As I enter, I close the door behind me and get onto the bed. Emma follows. We start to take off our armor.
