We are now rushing out of Whiterun and towards the west watchtower to fight a dragon. A dragon! A fire-breathing, human eating dragon. We could all die. I was so deep in my thinking that I didn't realize we were already there.

"I-I can't believe it. We're going to fight a dragon." Simon is scared shitless. But I can't say anything because I am too. "Do you think we can win?"

"Only if we get help from the nine divines," I answer him.

He sighs and sits down on the steps leading up the tower. I sit down next to him. "How are we even going to fight this thing?" I ask, but before he could answer, a guard rushes in.

"The Dragon. It's returning," he says panicked.

Simon and I look at each other as if we had the same mind. We get up and run up the stairs to the top of the tower. Simon pulls out his new bow and loads it with an arrow. I pull out two spells of sparks and ready them for the enemy I was about to face. And as if answering my call, we hear a roar, similar to the one we heard at Helgen behind us. We turn around just in time to see a dark red dragon fly right over our heads. Simon turns around first and shoots an arrow at the beast. It hits but doesn't seem to affect the dragon. Then I notice the many other arrows being shot by the guards on the ground. They shoot arrow after arrow as if they never could run out, which almost seemed true.

I fire my spark spells towards the dragon and it hits it right in the eye and wing. The dragon falls out of the sky not too far from the tower. Me and Simon run down the steps as fast as we can. When we reach the exit, the dragon is already pretty close to the tower. I pull out my greatsword and charge straight towards the dragon. Simon follows me, but not close to me. He stays a few feet behind me because he can shoot the dragon from afar. He is smart. I encounter the beast and swing my greatsword at it. It misses the dragon. I swing again. It hits the dragon in the forearm. It looks at me and opens its mouth to breathe fire on me. But I was saved by Simon's arrow hitting it right in its other eye. It backs away and roars in pain. The dragon looks at Simon and releases a wave of fire. I take my chance while the dragon is distracted and hit it in the jaw. It stumbles to the side and stops spitting fire. I take my chance and jump on the snout of the dragon with my greatsword in hand and plunge it deep into its jaw. Then I pull it out and aim for the skull. I hit it, digging into the skull all the way to the handle. The dragon stopped moving and went limp. I retrieve my sword and sheath it. At this point, all the guards and Simon are coming towards the dead dragon. Then I begin to feel something... strange. Like, you feel refreshed and like you have enough energy to fight seven more dragons. I felt powerful. I then realized that there were these white and yellow streams surrounding me and getting absorbed by me. What was going on? After about ten seconds, the streams stopped and I felt normal. What just happened?

"What was that?" A guard broke the silence.

"I'll tell you what it is." another one speaks. "You're... dragonborn."

"What?" I have no idea what he is talking about.

"There is no doubt about it. Only a Dragonborn, born with dragon's blood in his veins and the soul of a dragon itself, can absorb a dragon's soul. That's what you did, didn't you? Absorbed its soul."

"I honestly don't know what I did, it just kinda happened," I mutter. "I did, however, feel very powerful while it was happening."

They gasp. Even Simon doesn't understand what going on. "That's it. You are the Dragonborn." all the guards kneel with their heads bowed.

"After a few seconds, they stood up. Then one of them says "If you truly are Dragonborn. Then you must be able to shout. Only the Dragonborn can shout like a dragon after absorbing a dragon soul."

"And it would have to be in dragon language. It can't be done any other way." another guard says.

"Well, I guess I could try." I did know one word in dragon language. Fus. force. I then shout "fus" towards the watchtower. My throat vibrates intensely and the word fus comes out, but after it, a soft bang noise booms through the air and the area I was looking at blew dust away in that area. Unbelievable. I shouted like a dragon. I was Dragonborn.

"I knew it. You truly are the Dragonborn." a guard says.

"Yeah, I am the Dragonborn" I say wearing the words like a giant neon sign.

"Come, we shall go back to the castle and tell the Jarl about this." a guard expresses.

"Good idea," Simon says starting to walk to Whiterun.

I look at what remained of the dragon. All that was left was a skeleton of what used to be a dragon. The bone of it is the brightest white I've ever seen. I walk up to it and touch the bone. Its warm. A shine catches my eye and I look at what it came from. It was a gold coin, in the ribcage of the skeleton. In fact, there was a lot of gold. I crawl over to it and start putting it all in my coin purse.

"Hey, save some loot for me." Simon came back when he realized I wasn't following.

"Well start grabbing some or you won't get any."

"No fair, you got here first." he pouts grabbing come coins.

"Early bird gets the worm," I say grabbing more coins. The guards at this point were gone and heading back to Whiterun without us.

He sighs. He grabs more coins and we both get a good amount of gold.

"Smith, I have a confession to make." I look up at him confused. "I think I want to split the path between us and go our separate ways."

I was taken aback, but I kinda was expecting it. "Oh, any reason?"

"Well, to be frank, I am scared of your... power."

"You, scared? Since when?"

"Since a few moments ago. I was thinking of a way to break it to you."

"Well, I mean if you really want to, I guess I can't get in your way," I say extending my hand. Simon takes it and grips it hard. I do the same. We shake our hands and let go. He waves goodbye and walks down the path going opposite of Whiterun. I go towards Whiterun, to talk to the Jarl. I have no idea how the Jarl will respond. I hope he doesn't find anything to be scared of like Simon.
