Days with Luke turned into weeks and soon it'd been almost a month since we started whatever we were. Neither of us were quite sure what to define ourselves as. We'd go out, come back to my apartment, smoke, and make out. After those things were accomplished we'd order some sort of food that would arrive quickly at my front door.

It was raw, neither of us had to hide anything. It was new to me, in the past I'd find myself hiding who I really was to please someone else who hardly ever cared about me in the first place.

Plain and simple. He was the missing piece absent from my life. Before, I was just living, trying to get by just like everyone else. And when I had him, it felt like I had a purpose.

We were on the floor in my living room space, toppled on top of several blankets that provided less than a little comfort. Two pillows pressed together with my head fitting in the curve between Luke's head and shoulder. His arm was draped over me in a protective position. My arm lying across Luke's torso so that I was hugging him but not too tightly. Both of us a little stoned from the reefer that burned in between Luke's index finger and thumb, releasing a familiar scent into the air. He held it like it was a part of him, so casual that he almost forgot he was holding it.

The way his lips caressed it and took it in like it was as easy as breathing, turned me on more than anything else.

He curtiously passed it over to me, letting me take a hit for myself. I'd become more accustom to the feeling and the process of getting high thanks to Luke, it was like the icing on top of the relationship.

I put it between my middle and ring finger, moving it between the two. Luke being to busy watching the tv that I'd forgotten was turned on.

I lifted my head up so that my lips met his jaw. Effortlessly, I made a trail of small kisses along his jawline. I absentmindedly nibbled on his earlobe, Luke erupting in a fit of laughter.

"That tickles!" He said as he squirmed.

To steady him, I rolled myself onto his body, straddling him. Still fiddling with the blunt, I leaned down and put a sloppy kiss on his mouth,a moan escaping his moist lips.

The sound alone made me want to rip his clothes off. But I fought the urge, taking another hit. Luke watching me as his hands creeped up to my hips, pressing me onto him even more. His desperate need for my touch was adorable and at the same time sexy as hell.

I put the stick back in the place between his lips, he didn't hesitate to inhale as he did before, letting go of another cloud of smoke. Catching it in my own mouth as I pressed my chest against his, attaching my lips to his, a motion we were both used to by now.

Almost instinctively, Luke deepened the kiss and let his hands move up my back, a warm feeling beginning to spread through the place between my legs.

I broke the kiss first, sitting upright again and picking up the joint from its spot on the floor next to Luke. I hadn't noticed he put it down before.

"Can't let this go to waste, can we?"

I mumbled, grinning devilishly.

Luke shook his head, trying not to laugh, I was beginning to think it was just the weed that made him all giggly.

"What?" I asked, laughing a little myself.

"You got me all hard for nothing." He said blatantly.

It was impossible not to notice it when it was pressing against your inner thigh.

I rolled off of him, giving back his blunt which I'd been hogging. I walked over to the kitchen and picked up my phone to find one missed called from a number I didn't know.

Thinking nothing of it, I pressed the call back button, putting the phone up to my ear. I peeked over the couch to see Luke enveloped in the cartoon he was currently watching about teenage superheroes, more commonly known as Teen Titans.

The ringing came to an abrupt stop and the voice that answered, I recognized immediately and I almost dropped the phone when I heard it.

"Hey Paige."

My heart began to race and my palms were already clammy.

"Hi, it's uh, it's been a while." I finally manage to choke out.

It was hard to hear the sound of his voice when it's been so long since I've seen his face.

Just thinking about him makes my heart break all over again.

"Yeah, it has."

I can hear him gulp through the phone and there's no doubt that there's tension.

I don't know what to think or what to say. All I know is that this is the same person that took everything from me and the person I swore I'd never shed another tear over.

"We need to talk, Paige." He finally says after a long pause.

"There's nothing to say."

I respond rather bitterly.

"Come on Paige, this is ridiculous."

I bite down on my tongue to keep from tearing his head off, oh god how I literally wanna rip his head off his body.

"No. What's ridiculous is the fact that you think that you can call me thinking that everything will be okay."

He scoffs on the other line and I can practically see him rolling his eyes at me. My blood is practically boiling at the thought of it.

"You can't hate me forever, Paige." He sighs.

The image of his face is still burning fresh in my head, every detail surfacing from the back of my mind.

"Watch me."

I hang up, feeling confused and angry and broken. I know I shouldn't let it control me after so long but I would never forget what he did to me.

My fingers comb through my hair as I breath out loudly, pure frustration taking over my expression. I thought I'd finally escaped the person I used to be and now, just as everything seemed to be going right for once, I had to deal with this. I guess the past really does catch up with you.
